  • Heyo, I don't think you can put discounts like that in the title.

  • Is it really that much better than a normal kitchen oven?

    • hope so. The main difference is that it gets to 400 degrees C. Which is necessary for Neapolitan style pizza. But yes, totally unnecessary for other pizza styles.

      • Cuisinart have a similar unit (CPZ-120) for $300 or less

        • looks good too!

    • +2

yes, if you are serious about homemade pizzas.

It's non-comparable. The results from this oven are insane. There is a bit of a learning curve but they are seriously good and fast.

I bought this pizza oven for my mother in law last Christmas and the results are incomparable. It will mimic a traditional wood fired pizza (with bubbles and ‘leopard spots’) in 2 minutes, versus a standard oven with a ‘pizza mode’ setting cooked pizza in 10. We don’t really need to go to pizza restaurants anymore. And it’s easy to clean. I couldn’t recommend this higher if you're into your pizza game.

      • I’ve got an Arrosto Ooni clone but due to the effort of going outside, heating it up and messing with gas I rarely use it.
Aside from being easier - would the results be just as good if not better?

        • +1

I don’t know a lot about the Arrosto Ooni clone but in my experience the versatility of the Breville being able to put it anywhere (that has a power point), the safety of no hot spots on the actual oven, the accuracy in their own pizza settings, and the low maintenance/ clean up give us more time to hang out with everyone. And the pizzas (with a small bit of practice) are just as lovely as going to a pizza restaurant. I am incredibly impressed at the engineering of the unit.

    Must resist….

  • So damn tempting.

  • While this is a currently better deal with the Amazon gift card strategy, if you're like me and have a JB Hi-Fi gift card Christmas present from last year to spend, JB were happy to price match this for me at $720.

those that missed the 10% amazon GC and have an amex.

thanks to this comment, you can go to the breville site and request a 15% off code which would bring it from $799 down to $679.15. Then those with an amex can use the $50 statement credit offer on atm which brings it down to $629.15

    • It also seems to do the wizz thing as an automatic. I'm guessing gumtree is going to be flooded with these?

I know this is apples vs oranges, but I feel if you are spending this much for a pizza oven, then you would get a better outcome with a Gozney or Ooni gas/wood ovens. And most of those will get to 500 degrees which will help keep the pizza stone hot in between pizzas. Just my thoughts and something I've been saving up for… Then again, the convenience of just plugging this in is a big plus, or if you dont have the outdoor space it makes sense.
