TCL 50" C755 4K UHD QD Mini-LED Google TV (2024) $771 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store) @ JB Hi-Fi

130

I bought this TV today and it seems like a great price. It went down to $827 while I was chatting to the sales guy (it's now $827 on the website) which was a bit lower than the in-store physical price tag. It should be a decent replacement for my 40in Hisense TV.

  • Just looking at the 55" to replace a fantasy Oled! I had been eyeing this model, looks like a good price performance deal.

    • +1

Try some offers on some eBay sellers. I got one accepted last week for $900. Using a $50 off offer brought it to $850 delivered.

I used this to price match at JB earlier today so I could take it home with me. Super happy with my purchase even if I know that it's not the absolute lowest price it's been I still think sub $800 for this is a good deal

  • Just got the 65" c755 from the recent Harvey Norman deal and so far it seems like a fantastic TV.

    • this

  • Any chance I can trade in an old tv?

That’s the inferior C655. Pity it wasn’t the mini led C755 version

    • +1

That's a c655 which isn't mini-led like the c755. I haven't seen the difference myself but mini-led is worth paying extra for from all accounts.

      • But is it worth losing 25"?
I would rather get 75" over 50" than worry about mini-led.

  • +4

$835 for the 55 inch model at good guys using the price beat.

  • Anyone know if these tolerate being outside fully undercover?

  • +1

Crazy that this was $701 + bonus $70.10 gift card at Harvey Norman a month ago

  • Any thoughts on how these would work as a PC monitor (work stuff, not gaming)?

    • Its great. Got rid of my 48 oled to get this. Much brighter and no burn in.

    • For office work, the sub-pixel layout of the tv panel matters as it can make text look fuzzy on screen. Most TV's don't have a good sub-pixel layout for office work, usually RTings provides this info in their reviews but often not shown in TV specs.

      • @pineapple pizza I usually look at RTings but they seem to review USA models and they don't seem to be the same as AU for this TV.

  • I went back to JB HiFi for their two week price drop guarantee. The TV is down to $771 so I got $56 back. I'm pretty happy with that.

The price drop guarantee is not mentioned on their site but they all know about it instore. I used it last time I bought a TV too.
