FullHD is kinda shithouse for that size and 2025.

2025 - prices are high…ish. I have a FullHD projector and I’m running that on a wall massive and I’m not missing on 4K. It also helps with poor internet connections - saves the effort of turning down the video quality. I think this is a reasonable deal. $250 for the TV plus a smart function which at HD has some $50 value.

55 inch and under looks fine in full hd. People trippin. So little 4k content for most people anyway.

Good value for German precision engineering and manufacturing quality.

      I know you’re being sarcastic…

I agree , it’s a household name we’ve all known and loved for many years. Up there with Panaphonics, Sorny, and Magnetbox.

The company that makes this tv is not the Blaupunkt that is known and trusted

    • Not sure it was ever trusted. Their DVD players were ordinary.

      • Car Stereos were always well regarded

    MacGruber approved 💯👍

  • So is it a rebadged Samsung? Or the real German Blaupunkt? Blaupunkt once made stereos for General Motors Holdens cars but then reappeared years later as a badge on cheap Chinese TV sets in Big W. Not sure about their current brand and quality.

Neither, just a generic Chinese TV running Tizen

The race to the bottom these days is disheartening. Gonne are the days of quality Japanese made TV sets like Sony Trinitron etc

Maybe at the low end, but mid range - higher end TVs have never been more affordable, and offer fantastic picture quality :)

A friend has a Blaupunkt Android TV at their work and it is the slowest TV I have ever seen. It is unbearable to even bring up the input menu

    • Thanks for the warning

Yes, this is a problem with cheap TV's these day. We are all spoilt with Apple iPhones and fast Android phones with lots of memory. When you use a smart TV (which is essentially a massive phone in landscape mode sitting in your lounge) the slow CPU's and miserly memory of sometimes less than 2 MB RAM and storage of 8GB the problems of launching, running and switching between apps becaumes very apparant.

100%. A dumb TV from 20 years ago is a million times faster for general operations than one of these cheap "smart" TVs.

  • Think these like EKO and similar brands need a fire stick shield or equivalent to be bearable. Not a bad price though.

    • Don't mind my Eko in the man room, only issue I've had is with the remote (sometimes just doesn't work until i turn the tv off and on). Lets me install pretty much any apk i want, so a pirates dream. Handles the N64 without lag too, so pretty happy.

      • I must've had a very old EKO or a bad one. Perhaps they are better nowadays. Impressive with the N64. Can hardly run that on my rpi 4 and retro pie.

  • If this was Kogan they'd be screaming look it's like Samsung because of the software inside only cheaper!

    • And Aldi.
