It's a solid choice for the money. That said the S20 FE is still alright imo.
Yeah, it's working alright, but the battery on mine is pretty toast, and the camera is rubbish.
My S10 is still going strong.

Currently it's very minor upgrade. Most features are the same, specs are also very similar between 7200 Mediatek and Snap 865. The only real upgrade I see is extended software support as this is 2024 release and the Sony Lytia 700c sensor instead of the commonly use IMX sensor. That said opting for 50mp photos will choose consume more storage - image quality isn't always about resolution.

Going from s20fe to s23fe. The main two reason is the e sim and the ai stuff.
Fyi the s23fe is heavier than the s20fe.
If you do get the s23fe grab the 256gb version if its 100 more.Motorola is more value for money option.
I'm also holding onto my S20, I did try to replace with Pixel 8a but Google's "clean android experience" means "lack of good features" compare to One UI. Sold the 8a only after 2 months of use and back with my beloved S20. Peopel say Moto Hello UI is close to base android ui so thats a big no to me. Bang for your bucks tho for the spec offered.
Samsung Dex is very nice when you need it.

Neo with its smaller battery is more efficient, beat the use time of the Fusion. Neo also adds wireless charging.
Neo display is smaller but more pixels, higher density and brighter.

you can either get it delivered to a store nearby and pickup or in my case they were happy to deliver to my house, i think thats for metro areas only
As a brand are Motorolas actually considered good? My G84 is easily the worst phone I've ever owned, but I haven't sent it back because I know nobody is going to take the time to test for the issues I'm having (pretty much all messaging apps only show notifications about 1/4 of the time despite being 100% turned on, meaning I miss a lot of important messages or have to keep the screen unlocked with apps open if I'm expecting anything).
This looks like a good price for the specs etc, but only if it actually works..
I have the edge 30 fusion and it's great, better than Samsung's I've previously owned. The software is very lightweight and battery lasts about 2 days.

That's what the lady told me so I did some research and it didn't make sense so made a 2nd call, ready to argue about the colour. 12 mins waiting, then told the guy that I wanted the pink, he put me on hold for 2 mins, came back all good, then asked for payment details because demands are going through the roof. Managed to get the order in and now waiting for the confirmation email.

Seems we have some well known issues with Camera lag, Battery drain, and heating?
seems like there's a way to minimise it and may not be a major thing unless you use the camera a lot. I think it's acceptable at this price point tho …

In reviews the images look decent but yes, many people mention the camera app lags. Hopefully a gcam port is better for that
Isn't it something they can fix with updates? At least the laggy camera app. And for picture quality I read in another thread about GCams, which apparently can improve the quality. Need to read more about it.

I love my mSD. I got a 1tb in my g84 and it makes everything so easy. Cos I mainly use wifi instead of celluar except to google stuff on the go. It holds all my music, favourite movies and tv shows, reference materials etc.

I was the same for the g84. I completely understand homey. If its anything like its baby cousin phone, your in for a treat and it was money worth being spent. Especially since motoroloa has agreed to honour mandatory android updates for 3 (or 5?) years I can't remember but your battery will be dead by that time. So again excellent choice.
Let us know how you feel about the phone after a month or so use, I'll check back.
I have replaced my Samsung S20 FE 5G with the Neo and have to say my initial thoughts are that it is decent improvement. The camera in particular looks good and does a far better job in low light.

I went to a mobile phone & accessories shop and got a universal film screen protector applied at $20. I don't like tempered glass as it may not last long before crack like few months in my experience. Not everyone can put film screen protector properly without bubbles, so use the seller's service included with the screen protector.
