Finally a cheap 4070 laptop that's actually good too. The Ram could be 32gb, but that's not too difficult or expensive to upgrade…

  • Hows their 2024 Aorus build quality? I remember their 2022 ones the plastic looks & feels very cheap …

        • Is this a good buy Jarrod. Looks like it's on your laptopdeals site but $100 more there. Do you think this laptop is worth $500 more than the Acer nitro V Ryzen 7 (R7-8845HS) processor.
          NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4060 8GB GDDR6 at officeworks. $1397.

@paulaus: As per the review video above, overall it's pretty good. Too expensive in the US, but not here. This would be the lowest 4070 we've seen so far since the /australia page. I suspect AMD has more battery life, but the Nitro is a lower tier machine compared to this, and the 4070 is 20% faster in games, so 35% more cash for the 4070 might not be worth it purely in terms of price to performance ratio, but other things to think about too.

            • @JarrodsTech: Ok thanks

            • @JarrodsTech: Decided as I don't game that much to go with an Asus vivobook s16 AI with 3k OLED and a ryzen 7 8845hs processor 16gb ram 1tb ssd 1.5kg for $1275 hope it will play games at 1080p when required.

  • SDR Dolby Vision… Why pay for that certification.

  • Any cashback for this?

Tossing up between this VS the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 (16", Gen 9) AMD for the same price essentially…
