Might be old model from 2023 but it's cracking value for Sammie 55" OLED.

After clicking on link in Samsung Black Friday sale email, added code TGIBF1 to bring price down to $749

I then clicked on Trade in Offer to get extra $100 off

NOTE: this product cannot be delivered to a number of postcodes(samsung.com) in NSW, QLD, VIC and WA (as well as all of TAS and NT).

Wish they would just do something eitherway, was planning to upgrade from an old hisense 55" this black friday sales at around $700-800 so this was beyond perfect. I'm now starting to worry this is going to get dragged out beyond black friday sales and eventually fall through and i'll miss the chance to get anything else.

    • +7

I suggest don't wait for this one to be shipped. If you get a good deal somewhere go for it. In case Samsung ships it, you can pass it on to someone else easily even make a little profit if you wish.

    • don't count on this if that is your situation, you can sell this if you do receive it

    • Buy a tv online for pickup and just delay the pickup. If you get this one just call them for a refund since you havent taken delivery itll be no issue. But if you dont get this one then you have a plan B in place.

  • +4

My order has been confirmed and invoice sent today at 1130am after my status had been at the Order Accepted stage with no confirmation after ordering on Friday (ordered at about 1645 before it went out of stock the first time). Still not holding my breath they honour the order but progress!

  • +1

All I can say is in my experience Samsung shipping normally does not move fast.
The 3 larger items I have ordered have taken 3 weeks to arrive when looking at my order history (into Vic and another was Adelaide).
I did purchase a phone this year that they posted within 2 days but that seems to be an exception tied to a smaller delivery

  • I had delivery for tomorrow to SA. Unlikely to happen. First bad sign. But to be fair they are nutritious for late delivery on full price items.

    • If OP's Sydney order is not happening, sure SA delivery isn't going to happen.

FFS I didn't even order one but I'm still visiting this thread every hour for updates. I'm rooting for you all.

    • That's ozbargain!!

    • +1

Ha, I still have the Samsung page open and refreshing in the vain and deluded hope the deal will magically appear again.
I know crazy, but I wants it!

    • Sadly the poll page hasn’t incremented for successful deliveries. I’m curious whether those 3 are even related to this event

      • +1

Pretty sure those 3 were just trolling.

    • +1

LMAO same, im just curious if the deal pulls through or we get alot of disappointed ozbargainers….

    • lol same …i'd also like to add that im viewing this thread right now on my own S90C that i copped a few months ago in the $1300 deal …bittersweet for me if y'all have a win here!

  • +1

Well the fact it's not cancelled yet must be a positive sign, no?

If it was a clear price error surely they would have been cancelled yesterday.

    • +2

I feel like one way or another Samsung needs to make it up to us. I'm not entitled or anything but if they needed to cancel then this should have been done within 24hrs of orders not 4 days on. I highly doubt they have enough of this particular model so they should upgrade the remainder orders to the current equivalent. Wishful thinking for sure but if they cancel now people ought to be pissed and rightly so. This is one of the biggest electronics companies in the world, not a backyard startup, they should be fully aware of their inventory

      • That's the spirit, do you really think they will honour ALL the orders after 12000 clicks? But who knows, the Logitech keyboard made it possible lol.

        • Like I said. There's no reason not to cancel within 24hrs if they needed to. Perfectly fine with that. Surely they know their stock inventory

          • +1

            @ironworthy:

Surely they know their stock inventory

Hah, putting my corporate pants on. That general assumption of "big organisations" being well organised, have well maintained systems and have their core processes documented. Hah, think again! I have yet to come across many in the ASX50 or even global organisations.

The saying around making assumptions… well you know how that goes.

        • +2

12000 clicks but realistically how many orders?

I really doubt they sold 1000.

I'm hoping only 200-400 were sold.

          • +2

            @Circly: Under 200, my guess

            • @virtualds: If that's the case I'd be more hopeful that most riders will be fulfilled.

          • +1

@Circly: They had SOME stock definitely. But the fact that they haven’t fulfilled a single order from this deal makes me doubt they will come through. Waiting for cancellation email plus some voucher maybe we will see. Most likely at this point…

  • +2

come on samsung do something this is becoming unhealthy hahahaha

  • +2

Decided to cancel my order after regaining some sensibility! I have no idea where to put this TV. LOL. Decided to use the money for other BF deals.

    • +2

I think Samsung is hoping more people will do this haha.

    • -1

If let’s say they would fulfil in the end you could have easily sold it for 1000-1200 on marketplace.

      Just saying …
Most likely will issue some sort of voucher and cancel anyway…

      • +3

Well you haven't factored in their individual circumstances. Things like cashflow and opportunity cost come to mind. Some people live paycheck to paycheck and, and having $700 tied up in credit card could also mean other expenditures are held up depending on credit limits. Just another perspective to consider.

Plus would you want to REALLY go into the trouble to sell something on Facebook Marketplace? The number of no-shows, "Is the item available?", lowballs…I could go on =)

        • Yes of course if you need the money and you don’t have enough on a credit limit on your credit card to pay this next month you shouldn’t have ordered a new tv anyway but I get your point. I sell a lot on marketplace and don’t have any issues I don’t reply to anyone lowballing and make it clear it’s the final price.

        • +4

I agree but I'd hope those living paycheck to paycheck aren't making $700 impulse buys

          • +3

@May4th: Unfortunately having multiple credit cards and debt transfer at 0% interest are all too common.. sadly. It’s a slippery slope. I am quietly confident that majority of us that frequents OzBargain are somewhat abit more informed. We have unspoken guardrails like brodens and jv keeping us in check. Haha 😜

          • @May4th: The world lives off credit, if it didn't everything would be a lot cheaper in the scheme of things.

We wouldn't have the demand brought forward from the future by those that can't afford to buy things outright, if we didn't have credit. Such is the world we live in…

  • My samsung transaction went from a pending payment to a confirmed one, on Sunday. Does that mean its likely to get fulfilled?

  • -5

S90C 55” are back in stock. Plenty of stock it seems. Here is a glimmer of hope!

    • No stock, it says ‘Where to buy’

      • You are too serious. Lol

        • Or full of air it would seem 😜

        • I thought they have stocks as they need more money to fund their R&D

      • Tried the Samsung Shop app?

        • +3

The Samsung app still show my galaxy tab as on the way. It was delivered a month ago!

  • -1

Samsung happily sitting there with over 3 million dollars of money they plan to return. Probably made about $1000 over the last few days on interest.

    • +3

Looks like they took the money and ran away

      • +2

        Samsung buying Peanut coin?

      • -5

Yeah i heard the CEO resigned yesterday and moved back to india permanently

        • -1

          the comment of the day

    • +1

Not if they dumped it into Crypto. Would make a shtload lol

    • +7

Compared to the resources they need to spend on all order queries , cancellation and refund, $1000 is nothing

      • I think the point is they shouldn't profit off their own stuff up.

    • After the 1-2% merchant card fees plus deploying resources (employee time) to undo their mess, I doubt they are making any money from this debacle.

  • +20

    see you all tomorrow :)

    • +5

      Good night Bob

  • +1

Can anyone else still see the cancel order option under orders? If the cancel order is present then this hasn't been allocated any stock by the warehouse.

    • Yes, I can see the Cancel button. Delivery is supposed to take place today but the status is still Awaiting dispatch.

      • I can as well. Delivery on Friday (VIC), status is still “Awaiting Dispatch”

    • +15

I could see it yesterday but it's disappeared today. Order status is still awaiting dispatch. Received an SMS this morning from ANC with a time window for delivery - tomorrow morning for regional VIC

      • +2

That looks promising, at least they are honoring

        • Interesting part is regional vic gets allocate earlier than say NSW. They have some sort of next day delivery for certain new post code, in theory NSW should get first. Maybe it depends on the order time?

      • When did you order when the deal was posted out of curiosity?

      • Noiicee!!

      • That’s fantastic! Congrats 🙂

      • They might actually be honouring the deal!

  • Button to cancel shows. Last delivery i had an sms the day before so at least i dont waste a day to receive delivery today when it is "due"

    • +4

Well I need to know if I should hunt for a broken TV lol

  • My status is still "Awaiting dispatch". Delivery is meant to be tomorrow.

  • +1

Interesting to know what's OP's status.

  • Mine also "Awaiting Dispatch", it was meant to be delivered today in Melbourne

    • Same here.

  • +1

I bought appx 1 hour after the deal was posted. Still shows as awaiting dispatch for Sydney area. Cancel order still appears. Receiving Samsung emails of "Enjoying the view?" "You can hear it… but can you feel it?" :/

    • Im in the exact same situation hahaha, ordered around 5:15

    • They expect you to use your imagination.

    • They have your details now… Spam away.

  • +3

What may happen is our status won't change for a few weeks, meanwhile we don't pull the trigger on another black Friday deal, once all deals are over they just cancel our orders lol.

  • I would say, don't stress. I contacted the order support as my order was due for delivery today (Sydney area), and they said the selected delivery date was just an estimate and not yet confirmed, the courier will contact me for the real date and my order will be shipped out within the next 48 hrs.

    • Nice! There is a bit of hope

    • That’s the response they gave out yesterday, in addition to a 15% off voucher code.

My delivery was for Monday, I was told the courier would contact me on that day. It didn’t happen. Yesterday I was told about being shipped out in 48 hours too. The cynical side of me thinks it’s just a tactic to stop people messaging them, and to have an easy out from the conversation.

      • Yep, it can also happen. In my case, I worry more about the delivery date, as cannot be at home all the time, but I'm fine with delays. Luckily, the current TV is working fine, and if I get this, it will be good, because the colours are amazing, or better than the current (also Samsung LED 4K). Will see if anything happens by the end of this week.

        • That will be day and night, enjoy OLED

      • Did anyone receive a 15% off voucher?

    • +2

It's thier standard copy paste response. Chat support has no clue what's going on with orders.

  • My cancel order option did not appear this morning but then after I reloaded the page it reappeared, so i'd say check twice if the button disappears

  • Worst CS ever Samsung !

  • My guess is samsung are going to keep our money forever. Free money for samsung!

    • +1

In 2022 they did the same thing with ebay orders. No response for 15 days and I had to cancel the order to get the money back.

    • my mate never got $850 back from the ebay deal a while ago. he shoudlve pushed it further but samsung never gave him his money back and he never got any product.

      • +1

Pretty sure you can request a refund directly thru eBay

        • -1

they dragged it on so long it was out of the ebay time frame and his credit card chargeback time frame… i told him to keep pursuing it.

      • WHAT!?

  • Does not look that good no ETA normally they shit in 2-3 days?Has anyone received delivery :)

    • They definitely shit thats for sure
