    • It's weekend, mate

Even if it does get honoured, there’ll be a fair few disappointed people as their inventory is never accurate.

      • agree. biggest issue will be stock. it's a run out model, that no retailer like JB, HN even currently stock. So let's say conservatively they sold 1k tvs (probably more like 2k +), i highly highly doubt they have even that many of this lying around in their warehouse

        • My theory is they set sale limits which is why it kept going in and out of stock 3 or 4 times, say 50 units at a time before re-releasing another block of 50. That way, they end up only having to cancel a hundred orders near the end, rather than 1,000. Maybe….

You win some , you lose some. That's ozbargain.

Nothings confirmed yet atm, we’re all either waiting on either a dispatch or cancellation notice on Monday

I am sure you can buy these for $750 used in 2 - 3 years time on Facebook so be patient.

Happy to sell mine for $500 in 2027

    • My 55 inch LG bought 4 years ago, can still sell for around 1k. I don't know about Samsung OLED.

      • Weird because i see them for $300 to $500 on marketplace every now and then. However i avoid LG as they use cheap components to lower production costs. In terms LED tvs, ive opened a few i find on the streets to salvage circuit board and arrays to find cheap led arrays used in newer LG TVs. They also refuse to fix TVs slightly our of warranty. I like hisense warranty. They replaced a 3 year old TV for me out of warranty by a few months (picked up from marketplace for free) with a 2024 model and didnt even ask for reciept.

        • O_O lol nice if true

        • I can vouch for Hisense warranty. Mine had some software update issue after I had it for almost 2 years. Got sorted a credit within a week. I did an LG which was a good deal and its not bad but I'm a Samsung fan. Wish this 55 was a 75 lol.

          • @RenVilo: Even 65 would make more ppl happy

          • @RenVilo: They offered me to sort out a return and get a refund or choose a different TV. I chose the 2024 tv from hisense and sold it for $1300 a few days later.

I can vouch for LG Australia refusing to acknowledge the manufacturing fault with all G4 phones and refusing to replace/repair. The fault that had been admitted by other countries' LG branches who did recalls etc

          • @salem: I have a hobby for dissassembling LG electronics to see how cheap they are

I reached out to Samsung customer support for a different issue and thought I'd check on the status of my TV order which currently shows as "Awaiting Dispatch" in the Samsung App.
    Here's what the rep said,

As per checking, your order status shows shipping requested, and we're waiting for the order to be allocated from the warehouse.
Please know that the general delivery lead time in your area is within 1-5 business days from the dispatch date, and it varies depending on the state of the nominated delivery address.

Sounds to me like inventory for the order will be checked / assigned separately to the automated order status system so like many others have already mentioned in the thread, there is still a chance that the order will be rejected by Samsung. I suppose I'll know tomorrow or maybe not because my delivery is not until Thursday.

      Which state are you in

Ppl will definitely have some updates tomorrow, good or bad regardless.
