Not as efficient as the treadmill however if you look at the pics when it’s folded it can be helpful to some extent lol
Lmao what a line
The storage compartments on a broken treadmill are great for storing remote controls and bottles and other loose stuff
Honest marketing how refreshing 🤣🤣🤣
Costco enters the chat: Hold my beer
Wish Costco sold concept 2
➕1 for the sensible post
Nailed the description!
Had one of those and I returned it as it started making a noise (sounded like a worn bearing). The manufacturer/distributor was seemingly happy to help when I called first, but then went silent and ignored my emails. Costco support picked it up and refunded the money.

Is this still available?
Would you take $10 for it?
Can you pickup now
Why are you selling?
@lknight: The classic "recieved as gift and already have one"
SOLD! But now can you hold it for me for a month and not sell it to anybody else because I will have the money then. And I will be in constant communication all the time for the month, then I will ghost you.
No worries, will mark as Pending
It's brand new. Only open to set it up for 1 hour
Do you mind if I arrange door to door shipping by Auspost courier? I will pay all shipping costs and a courier will come to you and pick up the item. Please share your full name, address and phone number so I can fill out the shipping form. Kind regards.
You must be working on an oil rig. Can you send you son to pickup after you send me a fake payid confirmation email from [email protected] because im selling this for my sister. You can contact her on [email protected] to organise.
if you are going to buy a rower, you buy a Concept 2
Why? Does it get a better price on facebook marketplace?
Concept 2 rower $1700 new, used $1250~ on marketplace (sometimes seen them even cheaper for latest PM5 model when seller just wants to get rid of it)
If you bought a used one and found you weren’t using it, you could almost certainly resell it for the same price you bought it for used.
Concept 2 is the gold standard. A WaterRower or Technogym Skillrow ($$$) are solid choices too. Anything else is going to have poor resale value and is probably unproven/questionable in terms of reliability.
The Concept 2 is great but I don't think they're very practical for a home set up. They're just so damn loud. I had a Concept 2 and ended up selling it because you can't use it without disturbing the entire household. I've since picked up a Water Rower and it does the same job but significantly quieter. As a bonus, they will also look much nicer while collecting dust.
If you're the type of person to buy a Concept 2, you call it a ergometer not a rower.
115 kg User Weight Capacity
Well, that rules out your mum.
No need to be snarky
Have you heard of this thing that people say to cause laughter and amusement? I can't seem to remember what it's called.
Does it come with an iFit subscription? I think they have moved to 30 day iFit subscriptions over 1 year with most of the ProForm/NordicTrack equipment now.
No. At least my machine didn't come with one.

Is rowing actually healthy? I fell like it’s probably going to wear my knees off quicker.. perhaps a brisk walk around the park maybe better for my heart rate?
Easy on the knees. Can be harder on the back (yes, good technique etc but if you aren’t used to it or have some underlying back issues then can be more of an issue)
A decent 5 k row on this depending on age and fitness level if you can do under 22 minutes you should get a pretty decent workout. As far as knees go, rowing or cycling for 10 to 15 minutes sessions can actually strengthen your knee cartilage and possibly save you from knee replacement in the future… check this video from Professor Johan Bellemans who is an orthopedic surgeon. It is enlightening for anyone who has knee issues. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PNBjKJ9hxQ&list=WL&index=44
Even at three times the price of this a Concept2 is easily worth it. Resale is very high, they are bombproof, and parts are easily found to keep them working for decades. The design is simple and hasnt changed for two decades, they are just a bungee elastic and a chain, so even a model C off gumtree/marketplace can be brought back to new very cheaply. Monitors are ~$250 but aren't necessary.
Great value.
Very quiet compared to a Concept 2, though not quite the same feel in terms of resistance.iFit subscription is heaps expensive. Can use without it though.
How are these vs the water rowers?
I haven’t used a water rower, but I would say that the magnetic tension feels pretty decent up until about 90% speed.
This magnetic style is probably a solid choice for someone who wants a quieter machine, with decent performance, with app capability.
If you’ve used a water rower or Concept 2, you’ll know that they’re loud.
The iFIT app is pretty decent if you’re keen to give it a go, with rowing guides along the rivers in some cool places. Something different, and can be pretty engaging.
I had one of these and returned it and got a concept 2. The magnetic tension on these are to light for me and I always used it at max (24). The track is painted and the paint started peeling off after about 1 year of use. Made it grind a little. Setting up the machine every time to show just time and distance on rotation was pain. I would easily row for half an hour on this and barely break a sweat. With the concept 2, a 5 k row takes me about 21 minutes and is a pretty good workout starter for me. The pro form is not a bad rower and looks quite nice but i much prefer the concept 2. We used to use them at school when I used to row in 4's and 8's. It saves me time with quicker workouts. I use some cheap (70 dollar) noise-cancelling ear buds and watch netflix or youtube vids while rowing, so the noise is not an issue for me. I never used ifit on the pro form.
I think you want some sort of animated display to row against. Unfortunately according to another site, it may come with a one month iFIT subscription if at all. This is a deal breaker!
I feel if you don't have something to compete against, with a large screen also, the experience is not motivating enough…sure you can watch TV instead but it's a little different. There are some apps that provide a competitive rowing experience but then you need an appropriate screen and some sort of interface for the rower. Anyone know of a competitively priced program and interface for this rower?Prefer a water rower myself. I'd be getting something like this Joroto Rower if I could just talk myself into believing that my current one is on it's last legs, but it's just too easy to fix with repurposed spares from AliExpress unfortunately.
Interesting… $100 coupon takes it to $499
Why do you prefer the water rowers over this one?

Any recommendations for an elliptical, please? There seems to be so many options from a couple of hundred through to over a grand.
Something with a long stride
Doesn’t look like you can hang too many clothes on it. Better off with a treadmill
