Congrats on the inflatable boat. I have a few. This is a must as UV is a killer for hypalon and pvc.

    • how old are your inflatables? I just have a cheap Intex Seahawk 4 (ozb fave i think)… it goes with the cheap life jackets…
The UV spray is 20% the cost of the boat! hahaha

      • Lol. I didnt realise you'd bought a cheapie. Mine are rated at 15, 30 and 50hp and are very expensive to replace as none are chinese. . The small ones still look like fun and would be a great way to teach kids about boat safety whilst having fun on the water. .

        • haha you could've assumed that based on these life jackets hahah I'm gonna make a hard floor and a solid wood transom for it.. I bought an electric motor as well, the 54lb one! I have no idea what I'm doing with boats…At least this is a cheap investment to dip my feet in the water.

          • @maddoglee: Hey inflatables are fun and addictive. When people joke about mine I remind them of what they climb into when their big boats sink.

  • Looks like a rectangular Bill Cipher.

Thank OP, somehow I got another $5 off from click and collect, not sure if it's the same for everyone else or not.

    • yeah I forgot to mention that.. but that's if you go back to buy something else… it would bring the price down more if you need 4 of them!

Thanks OP. You are a life saver.

Yes very VIP with these on.

That said, these should really only go on passengers. Get non-inflatable close fitting ones if you're going to actively move around in them, these stick closer to the body and dont hinder your ability to kayak/canoe/fish, etc. (Note these are only 50N buoyancy, but too high buoyancy can also be a risk)

    Top link is only $30.

Good to know in case you were thinking of taking other primates along for the ride.

Yeah, I'm waiting on a deal for one that fits my cow. She loves kayaking but finds the normal life jackets chafe her udders.

    • Very human design. But for real, maybe kids

  • does this work for fat people? i imagine its based on weight no?

    • +1

Fat is less dense than water so don’t worry

    • +1

i saw someone complaining about being too fat to fit into it.
      Maybe that's why there's a deal for 2!

      • Sew them together.

      • +1

Use one for each arm like a pair of floaties.

  • Is this suitable for beach swimming? My wife don’t know swimming

    • +1

I don't think so.. i think these will turn you so you're facing up.. I think you should get some floaties for your wife

    • +6

Do NOT go swimming in these. If somebody doesn't know how to swim, get them lessons. Most council pools will run swimming lessons for adults.

  • I hate that at first glance I thought this was some Minions thing….

You can just grab a few for free from under the seats on a Jetstar flight. They even have a whistle.

    • +1

      Now that's a bargain

    • +1

An ex-flight attendant friend of mine recommended that on every flight I get on, check under the seat. It's not common, but missing life jackets aren't unheard of. To be honest, I've not done it for a while, mainly because all the flights I go on are over WA deserts.

Might be lucky and ditch in Lake Eyre with one of those major detours

    • +1

Oh I never thought of that - I usually nick the blankets and sickbags (to keep in the car).
Life jackets would actually be useful though!
