The modern Service Boot is a culmination of 90+ years of experience for Viberg. Stead leathers are tanned – with natural waxes applied to give the suede a waterproof finish.
Viberg boots are made for a lifetime of wear, so a sole which can be repaired, removed and replaced is paramount to ensure that daily wear doesn't cut that experience short. A leather Viberg "Chassis" is secured to the uppers with stitchdown construction and wears a sturdy Ridgeway outsole – which of course can be replaced with wear.

The 310 Last was originally crafted in 2007, unifying a classic British climbing boot with a mid-century workboot. Its "sprung toe," which lends the 310 its distinctive shape, had its genesis in the early 1900s to provide a rocking motion for enhanced comfort when traversing in rigid-soled industrial boots.

The Hiker, or Model 66, was added to Viberg's range in the early 1970s as mountaineering-inspired version of the Model 105 Logging Boot. It features developments listed from Viberg's industrial products, adapted for outdoor use.

I have quite a lot of boots, mainly RMs and Grensons when they go on sale. I also have a lot of Docs, Timbs and Clarks Originals (recently got the Neighbourhood and Engineered Garments collabs) as "fun boots". I also have Danner x White Mountaineering boots. I think I just like the collabs that only happen with the "fun boots" like the Pikachu Wallabees. I don't claim to have as much knowledge about boots as I have with whisky or watches, I just buy the ones I like.
These are very nice, and nerdy af with spec sheets that I don't understand. I think I have an older pair of these on the 2020 last. I also have Trickers and Butteros. That's probably as high as I'll go because they still have interesting designs. and aren't too expensive. And I don't need another expensive obsession hobby.
