          Honest question, but do you actually know any Palestinian people?

          It's easy to just dehumanise a group when all you hear is Hamas, Hamas, Hamas.

          I have several close friends who are Palestinian - one of them had an uncle who passed away in an Israeli air raid in Gaza. His uncle was just a regular dude, worked in IT, liked to spend time with his family, loved fixing cars - just wanted to live a normal life with safety and security for him and his family. No different from me, or perhaps, you.

          I'm not Palestinian, but I have lost my own family members (who were innocent civilians) in war. If you just leave your political identity at the door for a second, perhaps we could agree that the only guaranteed losers in war are civilians who often have nothing to do with the war being fought.

          We can have different opinions on what should happen and the process to lasting peace, but we need to at least start with the basic moral principle of no more killing.
