The link received by email - I called Assa Abloy to enquire about the locks and wanted to know if they had Apple Home Key with any of them. I had seen that the US version of one of the locks did but couldnt see it on their website.
The response over the phone wasn't helpful so I decided to look at their competitor Aqara Australia instead.
A bit more research required though and if anyone has used either company, I'd welcome feedback.
From a bit more reading, the workaround is we’d need to switch to a US App Store (if with Apple) and then download the US version of the Yale app to get access to Apple Home Key which seems like a lot of effort.
The Yale Unity locks don’t support Apple HomeKey. They do support Apple HomeKit - so you can open them from HomeKit, the Yale App and they do have support within Home Assistant. So there is plenty of ability to automate functionality.
I don’t believe there is a Yale lock on sale in Australia that supports HomeKey..
Very limited in my experience, and the app is really bad
