First glance I thought it looked familiar and it did. The Heymix version sells for ~A$31.65 on Temu with 67W PD on USB-C1, 30W on USB-C2 and 15W across both USB ports.

    • +7

Thanks. Will avoid like the plague.

      • +13

        I bought 4

      • +4

Using the 85w and the 120w from Heymix and it’s good actually..

        • +10

          Until 🔥

      • -2

Reasons for the vote downs? Considering the reputation why on earth would anyone want a rebadged one?

        • +1

Probably because they're rebadging from multiple factories and not everything they have is fire. The Heymix version even has a reset button when the Anko version does not.

          • +1

@Clear: We al. Have different levels of acceptable risk.

          • @Clear: The one on the Kmart site shows a button - is that not a reset button? It's black and not red though.

            • +1

@GreenLego: Thats where the cable goes in. They've just done a bit of Photoshopping.

        • Heymix is still one of the recommended brands on Amazon. Any update on the fire feedback?

          • @bcYield: No one has lived to tell the tale

      • -8

Any electricals from Kmart should be avoided.

        • +12

This is a strange comment and probably should have some sort of source?

Kmart sell hundreds of thousands of electrical items annually and everything still has to meet Australian standards..

We’ve had a number of electrical appliances from them in use for years with zero issues.

          • @jason andrade: Probably about 5 years ago now, I woke up to one of their USB chargers smoking next to my bed. Will never buy electrical stuff from them again.

        • +2

you think Australia is some 3rd world country where stores can sell whatever they want?

Hell the way our power sockets are set up are already miles better than Murica

      • Don't like Heymix?

    • +8

I bought one this for about $24 (new account ). It has been in use for 2 days so far, and it's working well. I keep a smoke alarm nearby while charging.

      • how did you get around the tax being added? I am getting $28.39 as a new account user.

        • +1

          It's an expired deal.

          • @Clear: $24.53 is available for new users. It just comes to $28.39 at checkout with tax, so I can only assume this is what @jimojr paid, but just wanted to confirm I wasn't missing something.

            • +1

@Dealr: I paid it for $24.11. Clear is correct, the deal has expired.

    • This is cheaper and has more ports.

  • +9

Battery information: 10,000mAh 37Wh lithium polymer built-in battery

i don't think this would have a battery.

  • +2

Does this actually have a battery inside? Looks like it might be an error in description on the Kmart website.

    • I think it's an error. The TEMU version Clear has linked above has mentions has no mention of a battery.

  • thanks OP

  • +8

Looks like the 24W max output from the description is correct

    USB-A1/A2: 5V / 2.4A Max
    USB-C1/C2: 5V / 3A Max
    Multi-Port Output:
    USB-A1 + Any ports = Max 24W ( shared )

  • Thanks OP bought 2

  • Thanks op got 1.

  • +1

Got 3 with OnePass so I can AfterPay them at $7.50 payments that don't start for 2 weeks. Winning!

  • Pretty much all new phones need at least 20W on their own to charge at their fastest rate. So 24W shared means this isn't really a good option to charge multiple devices, or even a laptop. Correct?

    • +8

It'll charge, just very slowly. It won't charge any laptops as it's only 5v.

      • +2

        Some laptops can trickle-charge on 5V USB-C.

        • +2

Most won't. Besides, I doubt this thing even has PD.

          • +1

@hsc21: It should have PD since it claims 15W.

        • Yep, been doing this for years on the move with most Chromebooks so far, not all as some

need more Volts via USB PD.

        • my m1 air charges fine off usb-a

    • +7

Sometimes you don't want to charge at their fastest rate though. Slow charging is better for the life of the battery, and phones such as moto g54 don't have an option to force slow charging, where as the Samsungs has.

I charge at bedtime. So it doesn't matter if its charged in 10 minutes, because I need a good 10 hours :)

      • This.

I used a Lenovo Smart Clock with a 500mA (2.5W) USB output to charge my phone overnight.

      • My Motorola g54 has a message popped up saying my trend of charging then they charge slowly and say it will be fully charged by X hours of time.. is that embedded in the android software?

  • Got 2 to reduce clutter around TV

  • Thanks, bought one.

  • +6

    Weak output, will pass it.

  • +14

    the charging is pretty sh*tty

    USB-A1/A2: 5V / 2.4A Max
    USB-C1/C2: 5V / 3A Max

RRP $35 is way too much for this junk

    • +13

But as $10 for a short extension cord n double adaptor that also has some USB power outputs is not TOO bad

      • Built-in surge protection would have been the icing on this extended, double-power adapter ☺

    • +2

yeah not great USB power for charging any devices but Ive got a few places which just require a trickle USB but a few power points

    • +1

Was to order until checking their power rating. No more under 15w USB chargers to avoid too many junks around the house. Spend a bit more on the future proof one.

  • Is the last photo in the listing the one on the box?
Anyway, is weird, as it appears to show the power cable as something that looks more like a chunky old mobile phone antenna or similar.

  • Thanks OP, perfect for my need to have multiple low voltage USB power.

  • thanks a lot OP I onepasse'd 2

Got one. Waiting for the cancellation email as Kmart usually do. Their online stock levels are awful. How many times heading to the Kmart saying in stock to in store be told it's at the closer Kmart where no stock on their site.

    • +9

Probs because all the stock gets stolen by eshays

  • +1

Got one to charge my ambernic retro consoles. They always like chargers right low power output.

    • Exactly. I've just bought 2 for the kids rooms - the lower output is fine for charging retro handhelds and running USB nightlights.

    • Just need usb a to usb c charger

  • Claims in stock at my location but no click and click is available?

    • +3

The stock limit for c&c is probably a bit higher than stock available at location.

They don't want people placing c&c orders and not having the stock available, so they might set the limit at say, 5 in stock. But for people that just want to try their luck, it might be 3 in stock.

    • I was able to purchase it online just now. But who knows if it'll be fulfilled.

  • Back available to order, most likely be cancelled though

https://www.kmart.com.au/product/arlec-4-outlet-power-cube-w… if you want smaller cube and 3 usb A port , being using this one for years, also 20$

  • Thanks OP perfect for desktop under monitor to charge all the "wireless" bits and pieces.

  • Good for travelling? Is it safe to use one of those travel adapters.

    • It's slightly less compact than some travel options, but it's ok

  • +2

Grabbed two, just need low power usb for some devices near the tv $10 is ok for what this is. Thanks op

  • +2

Saw these on clearance for $20 the other week and nearly got one. Now I got 2 instead. Thanks OP

  • +1

Got one cheers, hope they don't cancel. 10 bucks delivered is sweet spot for this.

  • thanks, picked up three for recharging all those small battery items

  • Technical question: do these continue to consume power when nothing is plugged into the ports? I'm thinking there would be a small power drain with the transformer dropping the ports to 5v.

    • They shouldn't. Or the consumption would be very very low.

  • Out of stock online.
You'll need to check out your local bricks and mortar Kmart instead.

    • Depends on your location.
      Still available online in Brisbane.

  • Out of stock

  • Refunded one order

  • No pickup email after one day.

    • Just picked up my c&c
email took ages, despite using OnePass Express checkout.

  • First one shipped from bass hill kmart

They just cancelled my delivery order for two

  • Mine shipped and I’m in SA

  • +1

I have no idea why this got so many upvotes but it made me get one

  • +2

    Got one.

Why so heavy for such small item?

    We sure no battery inside?

    • I have one already (but paid full price). It's a satisfyingly solid unit.

  • It has a white light strip below the USB ports. Just wanted to share that info. happy new year

    • Can you turn it off?
