Available in some stores at Kmart (where I got mine)
Compressor based, so not just the frozen bowl. Uses a Huayi M46CL for those curious

What's the paddle like? Most home compressor machines use a paddle that doesn't scrape the sides close enough, which reduces the speed to reach ice cream consistency, also affecting quality.
Internal diameter of the steel insert is 11cm, and the stiring paddle is 10cm at the bottom and 10.5cm at the top
Does it make sorbet as well?
There's only a few recipes in the book, but sorbet is one of them recipe
Thanks OP. Bought at $99 but haven't got around to opening yet. So it's going back to Kmart when this arrives!
Thanks op ordered from target .
Anko? Kmart's store brand at Target?
Target and Kmart are the same company
Target and Kmart are subsidiary companies which are owned by a parent company called Wesfarmers. Both retailers owned by Wesfarmers. I think that's what you really meant. That's the reason why Anko products are sold at both Target and Kmart.
Basically Wesfarmers has Anko products made in China for them and then imported and distributed to its own subsidiary Australian retailers.
Yep my guess would be we're starting to see the merging of the two stores with I'd guess Kmart being the brand which survives.
@ndenham: Starting? They converted a heap of Target stores to Kmart in the last couple of years.
I didn't feel the need to get into the company structure of Wesfarmers to get the point across.
That being said, Target and Kmart aren't being kept as separate entities - Target's being merged into Kmart Group entirely.
Yep same company target sell anko also .
Purchased. Great price for a compressor machine. Thanks OP.
Thanks op. Got from target as could click and collect. Cheers!

thanks op, managed to get one (target pick up)
I got one in store at Target so I could use Flybuy Dollars
Got one for pickup, been using the frozen bowl machine for years, looking forward to seeing how much of an upgrade it is
Can confirm it makes better texture ice cream than the freezer bowl one, same 0.5L volume, takes about an hour though compared to 15 min with the freezer bowl. So both have advantages and drawbacks.
