Hahaahah I read this review .. I’m not sure If I should or should not buy it
I am staying clear with them dummy reviews
I do it for China….
good for you.
as an electrical engineer there's crap that comes out, but some of the worst examples I've as seen were purchased in Australia at bricks & mortar stores.
@M00Cow: As below, you get what you pay for…..
This marvel of electrical engineering seems to be 100W not 330W@Jessie Ryder: maybe, but as below I linked to a 220w one I got… but the pondering about burning things to a crisp is most likely a figment of an over active imagination rather then based on any fact.
reminds me when someone posts a device with Chinese plug and certain people bang on about the plugs not having isolating sleeves on the pin, which are only design to limit electrical shock from someone trying to use a metal object (e.g. butter knife) to remove the plug from the socket when on. Not something that would be done by 99.999% of the population.
@DiscountForThee: probably, i.didnt use it. Maybe I should have done an arts degree, except I failed high school English, so I wasn't eligible.
@M00Cow: At least you can sue a local store for damages. Best you can get from AE is a refund.
@haru: but what for? it's like worrying about a plane crash. makes headlines when it happens l, but it's such a rare occurrence.
@M00Cow: Batteries, which is nothing like worrying about a plane crash.
https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2024/nov/15/lithium-i…
@haru: it hardly ever results in any serious incidents, circuit breakers are exceptionally good these days. The trip to the airport is much more dangerous then a plane flight. At home it's overloading powerpoints or powerboards are the more dangerous activities. And unsupervised li-ion charging, that's a bit silly
@haru: yep large li-ion battery charging without proper cutoff circuitry is definitely a worry, but also a lot of those fires have occurred because people whack them on powerboards & dont keep an eye on them.
There are still more fires started because of heaters. Heaters are safe if you're sensible, but we didn't rant on about how unsafe they are in their posts.
@M00Cow: As an Electrical engineer that has done litigation and fire investigations, if we found a plug missing the sleeves and were able to link it to a fire event in anyway then you may not be insured. They are not compliant, end of story. People have plenty of examples of stuff sold from China that has had issues, most recently the heymix travel adapters which had dozens of faults and overheating issues. People are right to be skeptical, especially when they have dummy reviews on their page.
@M00Cow: As an electrical engineer that actually deals with manufacturing electronic devices that are manufactured out of China, there are 100% compromises somewhere in this for $40 delivered. I know what the cost prices are for pcbs, components, assembly, qc testing, certification, shipping, and every person taking a margin cut before it leaves China.
My bet is the 330w rating is bs. And if they’re willing to lie about that what else.
@M00Cow: Items made in china that were sold in Australian bricks & mortar stores.
There ya go, fixed it for ya.
@M00Cow: here's a decent review showing one example of a ac adapter that overpromises on features, but has built it in a form factor that makes those features impossible to achieve. I've skipped to one of the juicier bits.
https://youtu.be/FZg3gQeZR74?si=JMQOuJaVEySfpz16&t=324
Until I stumbled on this YouTube channel I kind of thought all adapters were built equally and that if they claimed a certain level performance they'd achieve it. I'm obviously very wrong about this.
Still, cheap doesn't mean terrible. The reviewer gives a decent assessment to the very affordable IKEA dual usbC charger.
It's fine to have some scepticism in life.
This especially when we're understanding a small brick that's quarter the size of your pc PSU can deliver 330W safely, and with reputable components that's won't fry the devices or burn the house.
It's not anti china or anything, but at the price points raises plenty of questions. Like previous comments about heymix chargers and boards.
yeah scepticism is fine. simple "I'm not sure that they can build a 330w charger for that price" is fine, it's the other madeup pondering.
But China does produce cheap.stuff. I.got 3 usb-c cables delivered last month for $2.56, I couldn't ppst them to myself for that price, let.alone buy the cables in Oz..
And I don't go down the "you're a X'ist" path
.I don't see it as anti-chinese, just the "it's cheap, it's Chinese, so it must be crap" lime some people like the trot out.the product might be crap, might catch fire, bit it might be a new Xiaomi brand breaking into the market.
.I remember the same arguments on here & Whirlpool when LED lights came out around 2010, they were $40+/bulb in Oz and people were buying them off AliExpress for $5 & less, there were warnings about them being too cheap, they'll catch fire, they can't possibly be made that cheap, etc, I bought 10.at $5 and most of those are working fine, then I bought more for $4 amd more at under $3, out of the 50 or so I bought around 6 have failed (no smoke/fire/eyc, just stopped working).in the 12yrs.
@M00Cow: Low heat, low load LED lights is very very different risks to a high load PSU device.
If you had a laptop would you have no worries about plugging it into this charger?
China makes electronics very cheaply. Some of it's crap, bad quality and a rort. But the vast majority isn't.
I think you meant to say
China makes electronics very cheaply. Some of it's crap, bad quality and a rort which the vast majority is.
Sometimes things are a LOT cheaper… Goes to show how much retail outlets mark-up products. We're always getting ripped off in shops. They may pay $5 and sell for $50. Doesn't necessarily mean it's a product that has had corners cut.
shows AU$22.98 when logged out AU$37.39 when logged in.. any way to get it for $22.98?

I have my doubt the $30 I spent last time on the 175W would last and now this. Yeah right.
I got 220w one back in August that's being used daily no probs
According to the image in description it's 270w when all ports are in use (bullshit haha) and only 100w when 1 port is in use (most likely true)
Good find. As for power distribution a single USB-C port does 100W and when both 100W ports are used it'll do 65W+45W. Still perfectly fine for charging laptops and all that jazz.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008029343685.html
in the images in the description, it shows the various port configurations
C1 or C2 = 100W
C1+C2 = 65W + 45W = 100W total, not 200Wi don't think it is anywhere near 330W
Looks like max it gets is 160w when all ports occupied. So not even close.
Edit: looking again and I assume they’re actually showing 270w, 20w on each of the ports not 20w shared.
20w on each port doesn't make sense when 4 of them are 18w ports. I think it may be shared which gives a total of 150w
Not a great diagram either way
@Smigit: yep it sucks, some of the pictures are even for a different model so also possible the diagrams are just wrong.
So two 165W(Max) strung together, got it
How many pieces of bread can it toast at one time?
The answer is probably Yes
My Asometech 140w GAN died after 6 months and the store only refunded me 40% of the total cost i paid. Never again.
I just want people to know that I bought a good size cheap. I bought a good size cheap. thank you.
I'm waiting for the 660W version for $19.99.
I'm waiting for the 3600W version for $29.99.
it's twice the size and just has one usb-c port in the middle. 3600W out of that port though.
I bought a good size cheap, I will use it to charge my $2,000 device that I bought from edu store and with gift cards.
I am very smart and frugal man.
Exactly right. Too many geniuses playing 5D chess here 🧠
no comment above is wrong. it can charge ten $2000 devices at the same time.
I'm buying this to replace my Heymix hand grenade and my BaseUS bomb! XD
I like ASOMFYRETECH.
Don't buy. MooCCP Milk has done a full break down of the product and has determined it is safe to use in your house, not theirs.

600 $ 46 for Au plug.
oml zero heatsinks, zero fan, same tiny plastic enclosure as seen on other 120w or lower models?
https://youtu.be/-JkUcrlDtZ0?si=XCBncOsIQeYKjmLq i don't see how you could more than double the wattage and keep it all the same$46 fire starter for your home
330w for $40? can't be good lol just use your common sense
Next update : why did my house burn down? 😂
a good quality 120W can easilty cost AUD 100 in China. So I'll be very cautious.
Outstanding review:

I bought a good size cheap. I bought a good size cheap. I bought a good size cheap. I bought a good size cheap. I bought a good size cheap. I bought a good size cheap. I bought a good size cheap. I bought a good size cheap.
It comes to $40.72 delivered for me, and that concerns me greatly. Far too cheap, what corners are cut, what figures are fudged, what is going to get burnt to a crisp while in use?
