  • Does it include free call divert?
What other prepaid mobile offers free call divert?

    • Who would neg a legitimate question???

  • +1

What date does it have to be activated by?

    • To get the bonus data says 5/11. I’m not sure completely, perhaps ask online at Lebara.

      • There is probably going to be a different promo after 5/11 i reckon.

    • Hi, I contacted Lebara and they are saying within 60 days.

  • +6

360 days, really? Really, 360 days! That extra 5 days is a 1.4% surcharge.

    • +1

Kogan 365 on the same network. It cost much more for the extra 5 days.

      • +1

It doesn't cost much more. Normal price for the Kogan Mobile 365-Day 120GB plan is $120, and every few months it goes on special for $99.

        • Will be $179.90 soon. It is still reluctant to let all customers know.

          • +1

            @Neoika: Source of this info?

            • @Chris T: On sale for $99 has gone forever.

See you haven't found it. Check the 365 large plan for the change.

              • @Neoika: Hmm, that change to prepaid plans is pretty sh*t. Small 365 Day plan to be become 144GB for $179.90.

But all is not lost if they continue to have regular good discount deals. E.g. with the Extra Large plan every few months they have 40% or 50% discount, or two for the price of one.

              • @Neoika: Do you reckon I should go ahead and buy this $99 deal by CatchConnect for my plan expiring in Apr next year? Or is it way too early and can expect some good things around Black Friday this year?

I am looking at a sub-$99 annual plan.

                • @djoz: You've still got 6 months. Keep your current plan and start thinking about a replacement in March.

    • This year is also a leap year, so 366 days. What am I going to do about that extra 1 day!

      • +1

That is in the past - you should have already done something with that extra day :-p

    • Imagine working at Lebara and getting paid prorata lol

  • +7

Wow 1st time I've seen a network provider shrinking a 1 year prepaid plan by 5 days. Hopefully others don't follow.

  • +1

Recently, Lebara had major issues activating eSIM service on my iPhone 13mini for 4 days (leaving me without a functioning line or ability to revert to a physical sim)

On the 5th day they concede that eSIM is a new thing and they couldn’t figure it out (!!) and asked me to purchase a $2 starter sim to transfer my line back to a physical sim.

(luckily, it was for my secondary line, otherwise be cautious if you’re porting into them with intention for an eSIM)

  • Is this on sale now? When does it end?

    • +1

Offer valid Wed 9 Oct - Tue 15 Oct 2024

      • Nice one, thanks

  • Are these sold in store or are they ordered online?

    • In-store

  • 10% off with woolies extra / insurance >? + 4% off with prepurchase GC?

    • Yes, you should be able to. In the past I used my 10% with both lebara and vodafone. Apparently it will not work with Woolies mobile packs though. Also pay using gift cards.

    • +1

And you can pair it just nicely with the spend $100 get 5400 pts offers.

    • I have found that you cannot use a Woolworths gift card to pay for a SIM pack - you get "invalid payment method" or some such. In this respect SIM packs are treated like gift cards.

      • You must be trying to buy a Woolworths mobile SIM. All other SIMs (as far as I know) are considered regular merchandise which allows for 10%, bonus pt offers and can be paid with WISH gift cards.

        • +1

Nope, it has happened to me with Belong and Amaysim SIM packs. It's okay to use your monthly 10% discount, and the spend can counts towards points offers, but paying with WW/WISH egift cards has never worked for me.

I haven't tried with a Lebara SIM pack. I'd be surprised if it's any different.

          • +1

@Chris T: It seems working on Vodafone series from others' previous reports. Belong SIM is not allowed from my own experience. I would say all Telstra series are not allowed. Thanks for mentioning amaysim.

            • @Neoika: Thanks, good to know it may work with Vodafone/Lebara. It's a pain in the arse when you get to the checkout with a big monthly 10% grocery shop with a SIM pack and payment doesn't work.

  • If purchase 2 of these under 1 everyday account, would it give 2000+2000=4000pts?

At least 10% dc will work on both?

    • 10% does work (I have done it in the past). I am not sure about the 2000 points though

  • New customers only.

So if I was with Lebara before, I can't activate the service?

    • You would need to port out and back.

      • +1

        OK, thanks

  • Anyone have suggestions for the older gen that doesn't use mobile data and just needs an active service for making and receiving calls?
Have been buying these for my dad in the past but feels like a waste.

    • +1

Buy an half price amaysim sim pack (sometimes even less). Activate as a pay as you go. Then in app switch to $60 unlimited phone calls and messages. No data included.

  • Tempted. With all the discounts it will be close to $90. I am currently using catch connect 1 year plan from the deal posted last year. It's expiring in Nov. Not sure if I could still get that same deal again cuz it's cheaper IIRC or maybe I should just get this plan first.

    • Catch won’t be the same price as usually they are introductory prices. I’m not sure if they still offer a discount for renewals though. Catch used to do that.

      • Yeah No discount for renewals. The plan I’m using has smaller data allowance so I guess that’s why it’s also cheaper in addition to some discount offer

  • My Catch prepaid plan is expiring in 60 days, I wonder if there will be better deals coming out on Black Friday sale. :|

    • It could well be! Anyhow cashrewards is doing 15% cashback today on catch. Not sure if it includes sim, but might be worth checking it out.

  • I got one for $107 with the insurance discount. Great value I think.

I still have 4 days for my current plans expiry and cannot check as I activate now. , but I wonder if I can use eSIM in stead of the SIM in the box.

    • Not sure about eSIM. Great work as you also got the equivalent of $10 in points
