If you are willing to risk a cashback.

    • +1

I bought one yesterday and cashback was tracked immediately. So for cashback with CR and TCB are tracked and paid so far.

      • Same happened for me, tracked immediately through Cashrewards

    Sim expiry date?

    • +3

      March 2026

      • Does it mean, the SIM needs to be activated before March 2026? e.g. If I activate it on 1st July 2025, will I still get 365 days from then?

        • Yes, your recharge will last until July 2026 in that case.

  • Crap , I just bought catch ⁉️😅

    • -5

i think you got scammed bro, catch is shutting down

      • I bought through PayPal so I'm sure that my purchase/money is protected 🤞

      • +6

Catch mobile isnt shutting down. Only Catch marketplace is shutting

      • Catch connect will still be on. It's on the website .

        • +2

It was a joke. The OP implied that he "bought catch" and I joked that its been shut down.

Regretting missing the addition of j/k

          • @starbearer: your joke didn't really catch on did it.

            • @Fasian: Nope! had to make an explanatory post after seeing the negs!

  • existing customer?

    • Computer says no, new customers only which it's a shame

      • +1

curious, im also existing user for boost, will i still be able to use the sim, just without the extra activition data 25GB and only gets flat 240GB, or will i not be able to use the sim at all?

        • +3

You need to port out to another carrier and then back in

          • +2

@Moo Deng: This is easier than I thought at first. Worth doing it imo

          • @Moo Deng: Will porting to telstra $2 sim then porting back straight after work? Thanks

            • +2

@Save 50 Cent: Did the trick perfectly, all up took 20 minutes at most.

              • @dogsryummy: When you port out from Boost, does that just close out your old boost account linked to the number and then you create a new one with the new SIM pack?

                • +1

@brightside: You still use the same login details to port back, don't create a new account.

  • +2

The packaging indicates 4g. Is this 5g as well?

    • +1

Yes, Boost have access to 5G, unlike Amaysim.

  • +1

Can you put on your eBay store for this price or close to?

  • Are you a new customer if you’re on prepaid Telstra?

    • Yes.

  • +1

Is there a time limit you need to use the sim after buying?

  • -3

The era of boost has been over for months - there are better alternatives

    • I’m curious to know what are the better alternatives that use Telstra ?

      • -5

You might think you need the Telstra network but you don’t

        • Telstra is still by far the best mobile network nationwide. Whether you need it is a personal decision.

          • -4

@Randolph Duke: Then pay significantly more for something you don’t need. The way these boost deals are trending speaks for itself

            • @freeb1e4me: Depends on location. When I was on optus about 3 years ago, there were many inner city areas that got 2 bars or no reception as soon as you go inside a cafe or shop.

            • @freeb1e4me: What are the best deals regardless of carrier? I am interested to know.

        • +1

Disagree. Only network that doesn't block WiFi calling when overseas. I can SMS worldwide (only meant to include AU) and calls to AU, unlimited and free, either via WiFi or mobile data switching (i.e. routes the call over local data sim when overseas). Do others just not travel overseas lol, or stuff around with Roaming or the like?

          • -2

@kiwiinsyd: You get a travel SIM card or e-sim for overseas

            • @freeb1e4me: while yes it's better to use a local sim overseas it's still nice keeping your aus sim in your phone. Most phones are dual sims these days well physical+esim. So if you can have both then you should have you aus and local sim as it's good for bank messages and all that. Keeping your aus sim while having messages is a lifesaver as you can get messages from banks and secruity codes easily. It can be a life saver.

  • Shows $233.50 for me

    • +3

change the shipping. Select the bottom option.

do office works price beat on sims? i tried and they said they class them as a gift card.

    • Tried both over the phone and in store. Got a flat out refusal over the phone as there was no "product number" on the lucky mobile website. In store was looking promising until they did one last check with the store manager who decided they don't price match SIM cards. It's pretty much luck of the draw, if you get a good store manager you should be able to do it.

      • i posed the question under the 300 boost sim card on the officeworks website and got a reply today.

"Hi there, SIM cards can be price matched in store or via our support team at 1300OFFICE. If it meets the criteria of the Price Beat Guarantee it will be processed. Regards, NB"

So its on the website now

I did get knocked back on the gift card and the quality of the comparable product. Its a friggin sim

I couldn't get the topcashback or the cash rewards offer to work on the boost site either. I signed up for Tangerine. 14.50 a month for four months

        • Yeah it’s pretty obvious they’ll come up with any convenient excuse not to price match. Topcashback worked for me on the boost store, but the processing time is apparently 16 weeks… not great

I moved from coles 120gb for $120, to boost, which had a deal and cash back to $147. Telstra bought boost and the next 12mths hit $187, this year $228.

I'm out, and back to $139 doesn't matter what telco I get reception 98% of the places I go.

    • +1

Was thinking the same. I think they are pushing it with these prices. It’s a prepaid connection. Most others have it around the 120 mark.

    • I thought Boost was owned by Telstra? What did you mean by they bought Boost?

      • Meaning Telstra bought Boost. Wasn't always the case.

        • No, that's what I thought you said, but I was under the impression that Boost was a subsidiary of Telstra and that they were owned by them for years?

          • @Ice009: Google it mate, it's all there.

            • @Trumped: Yeah, I did after your second reply. Was surprised when you said it.

What’s the expiry of this sim

  • I had a very bad experience buying a Lucky Mobile deal seeing it on this website after they lost the sims in the mail. Definitely be ready for a chargeback.

    • Darn, that's not good. What postage method did you choose?

    • I can't get in touch with them through mobile number provided, email said shipped, tracking number not working and then I got an email saying I didn't select shipping, I selected local pickup, which is not true. How do I get my refund back. I paid by Payal.

      • In this on a recent order? I am not sure how to do it, but I am sure you can probably do it through Paypal (I haven't had to do it before, so maybe someone can chime in and tell us how to).

  • +2

When does the sim need to be activated by?

  • Where can I find a $2 options or Vodafone Sim card to Port in and out of? As I'm currently on Boost

    • you could port out to Aldi or Amaysim, but it's not $5 tho.

  • when do I activate by to get the bonus data? or I can activate any time to get the 265gb?

    • Pretty sure it has to be by March 10th otherwise you don't get the bonus data.

How long did it take to receive yours after ordering? Did you choose regular postage?

  • I remember paying $120 then $135 only 3-4 years ago?

    $300 rrp is insane.

This is what happens when the big players buy off a small company then leech off the 'happy' customer base that the small company had.

  • +2

I just ordered one but it says on my order "backordered"!
When will it be delivered, OP?

  • Hi OP - I bought one of these last year and it worked great. Are these still available? Are you able to provide a cheap sim to port and back in with? Thanks!

  • Is there an option for esim?

  • +2

OP why isn't this put in as a new deal instead of overwriting the old deal contents which still should be in effect till tomorrow?
It seems the original content ($228, 265GB? activation by 10/3) has been replaced with same price + more data which is great, but it's for purchases on/after 11/3? If so, shouldn't there be a blue tag with "In 6 days" or the like? Do I understand this correct?
