    Do you get 5G?

  • +3

    Thank You so much

  • +3

Is this the cheapest available 365 days prepaid sim with a decent amount of data?

    • +3

      Pretty much.

Don't expect any bells and whistles

      • +1

thanks, should be good enough for my mom

  • +1

Just be careful, they don't have call divert included in the plan.

    • how about conference calls?

    • Oh crap. I just bought it and need to use call forwarding on my iPhone. Does that still work?

      • +1

Found this in the T's and C's: For additional premium services like international calls, calls to premium numbers and call forwarding, purchase the Premier Access Bolt-On

Premier Access is an additional $14.90 per 30 days. Which can be purchased from the kogan mobile app.

        • Thanks. I managed to cancel my order.

Do you know of any cheap providers that provide free call forwarding? I know boost does but it’s almost double the price.

  • +1

I have a prepaid kogan sim already (not yet activated). Can I buy this to get the voucher and activate using my SIM? Was about to sign up $120 plan yesterday

    • +2

I’ve done exactly that on Kogan in the past

      • +1

        Thanks for confirming

  • +1

    Thanks OP!

If I'm an existing Kogan customer, how do I go about recharging? Select the "No Sim" option?

I couldn't find any wording saying new customers only, but also couldn't find anything on how to purchase as an existing Kogan mobile customer.

    • +2

Select No Sim and they'll send you a code, input the code into your Kogan app on your phone

      • Thanks! Very helpful!

    • Hi, did this end up working??
In the T&C’s at the bottom it says “Voucher does not apply to subsequent recharges.”

      • +2

That most likely means you can't buy 2 & activate one then use the 2nd one to recharge.

  • Has this ever dropped to $60?

    • nope

    • Yes, I think I have seen it somewhere (with only 60GB) but can't confirm. Sorry!

      • Amaysim

      • +1

yeh it's amaysim but also, 60gb is not 120gb

        • I switched to the Amaysim 60GB plan in Nov 2023 when it was offered by Woolworths but I don't think Amaysim offer this small 60GB plan any more.

          • +1

@Flenser: I’m about 3 months into the 60gb plan but the point was that suggesting the Kogan plan had never dropped to $60 but the Amaysim plan had is absurd given it’s half the data

  • So the VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling capabilities available within Australia only and won’t work when travelling overseas?

  • +12

Just my luck. Bought a recharge a few days ago after my plan from last year deal expired and didn't expect another sale soon after missing out the July deal.

You can grab another 10% off with the TCN sale that finishes on the 20th August.

  • Need it in Oct.

    • +1

You don't have to activate until 30 September.

      • My current plan is due on 23rd Oct.

        • 21st Oct here:(

        • +1

This will still be cheaper if you activate it a month early, saves $10 instead of $20, but still saves.

  • +2

Also have the 200GB for $139 and 300GB for $169.

I was looking at the Boost cashback offer which ends up as $170 for 170GB. Thinking of going with one of the Kogan plans instead.

Anyone had any bad experiences with Kogan plans?

    • +1

Anyone had any bad experiences with Kogan plans?

Probably depends on where you live or tend to be in a lot of the time.

  • So cheaper than Aldi Mobile, not Testra network, rather Vodaphone network.
Not sure if any unused data carries over.

    • Unused data is lost on recharge.

  • Looks like an annual promotion from them Kogan Mobile 365 Day Small Plan 120GB for $99 Delivered

    • Your typical Father's Day promotion.

  • Catch mobile cheaper? With Optus network.

    • I was with catch mobile in 2021, my experience was horrible!!

      Super slow

      • That's just coverage issues. I am on Vodafone and in SA at Trinity Gardens there is no coverage at a medical clinic what so ever. And I do mean zero But I don't live there so no problems.Where I live I get 5G and 800 MBS.

  • Darnit… they had it at this price 1-2 months ago. I grabbed it then but need to recharge by the end of this month losing half a month off my previous recharge. I could have waited and bought it now!

    :-(

  • Can pay with QFF. Not the best value, but not the worst

  • Can I use this to recharge my existing Kogan Sim prepaid plan? Mine is about to expire. Thanks

    • +1

      Yeah, it'll work.

Note that the existing duration on your current recharge won't roll over so wait until the last day before expiry to recharge.

  • Cheap. Hopefully prices can stay like this till mid next year :)

    • No, the recharge increases to $179.90 from 22nd Oct.

What makes it dodgy is: Kogan Mobile intentionally doesn't show the change notification for this Small 365 plan, but you can find it under Small monthly and Large 365 plan.

      • Are you referring to just the recharge cost which will increase or for new sim plans too?

        • New plan is a first recharge at the same price. People who enabled auto-recharge will be charged $179.90 from 22 Oct. Check my recent post for details.

          • @Neoika: Ok thanks. Yea I was kinda referring to new plans.

            • @ilovefullprice: New plan should be on sale from time to time, but will be only discounted from $179.90.

              • +1

@Neoika: Right I get you. Just like what Colesworth is doing increase price then discount.

I guess Kogan is feeling the squeeze from the likes of folks like Amazon and have to squeeze money out from divisions like the mobile division.

  • +1

    Thanks!
I'm due for a recharge as I got the same deal last year.
Looks like Kogan Mobile is the cheapest 365 day sim with data currently available during this deal.
Followed by Catch Connect which is $109 for 150GB (but I don't need the extra data).

  • +1

Had an existing prepaid SIM. Couldn't enter the voucher code until I called to have automatic recurring billing switched off. They then added the voucher code over the phone.

  • Why do these are all expired??? It's still valid. Had to further dog through other than the mobile plan tab

  • For those looking for low cost 365 day plans Catch currently have a deal going at $99 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/868883
