is that if you have Woolies mobile?
Woolworths Insurance/Mobile/Extra, but is it included, Apple gift cards are not and this may also be the same as telco are low margin.
Mobile recharge is not included in 10% off, but unsure if this deal is excluded.
I don't think it includes phone cards or gift cards.
It includes starter packs. I bought 2 Vodafone packs and Lebara in the past and got 10% off. Thanks for negging me when I’m trying to help people save 🤷♀️
Well, to be fair, it doesn't include all starter packs. The Woolworths Everyday Mobile 1 year sims definitely can not get the 10% discount. I've tried 3 or 4 times.
@HappyPants: I never tried the Woolies pack. But I have bought 2 Vodafone and 2 Lebara discounted of 10%.
@fozzie: Nice one, glad you got the discount on those packs - it all helps. Shame about the everyday mobile sims. 😕
Thanks! 10% off worked!
I am glad it helped someone.
Cheers for this. Got one today for that very price!
Thanks, stacked this further with 4% off GC for $102.82.
I have a question about that: before you could use the QR code to scan and pay via app. Were you able to just pay directly via gc? Last time I bought the packs I used the qr scan thing but it is gone from my app now.
You mean pay using the Everyday Rewards app Wallet? I don't use that so I don't know, but I don't see why it wouldn't work…
@TimeOrMoney: Ok thanks
Is it the cheapest 1 yr plan?
No Amaysim has a $60 one but not available to new customers anymore…
That one is available to any customers but you need to sign up first and then change via app. No data is included though
That one is available to any customers
Not anymore.
It has been discontinued from being selected.
You can no longer select it and you lose it if you turn off auto-renew.
$149 for 220gb data (and more countries for international calls) at Lebara website for someone who needs more data
That sounds really good. I keep grabbing Boost each ear for everyone in my family. Anything I'd be missing if I walk away from Boost? Because $149 seems great and $119 even better. Really that's half Boost.
how many ears?
Huh? What?!?! Speak up please!
@seamonkey: I can't hear you, I'm wearing a towel.
@seamonkey: Typo buddy!
Lebara is with Vodafone. Boost is with Telstra. Pick your poison I guess.
Boost is amazing as it gives your full Telstra 5G frequency with no capped limit on mobile internet.
can anyone using a XIAOMI device confirm that VOLTE is working for them on the lebara service?
I have a couple of family members using redmi note 11 (global version) phones on boost at the moment on which i have activated volte but boost is not recognising them as volte capable - they work with volte on the kogan (vodaphone) network but not on boost (telstra) network
am hoping i can just switch them to lebara which uses vodaphone network like kogan as this deal is pretty good
VOLTE and Esim on Xiaomi devices work fine with Optus, so should be good with Telstra too.
i would have thought so too - but both aldi mobile and boost which both use telstra network are not recognising many volte enabled xiaomi phones which is why i'm asking about lebara
I double checked, same phone does not show VOLTE on Telstra that did it on Amaysim.
Hey mate. I use a Xiaomi phone, and I get VoLTE on any network that uses Optus [Eg: amaysim, Catch] or Vodafone [Eg: Lebara, Kogan, Felix Ezysim], but not if the network uses Telstra [Eg: Boost, Belong]. I did a lot of digging way back and here is the conclusion.
Telstra clearly states that you need Band 28 for VoLTE to work on your device. Are you able to check your version of Redmi Note 11 has Band 28? If not, it wont work on Telstra.
many thanks djoz - we have band 28 700mhz on the redmi note 11 - but still not recognising volte on boost - i'm starting to think its a boost issue as when i put a kogan sim in it and volte shows up fine
i think i'll just go for this lebara deal - again thanks
Ok, looking back at my post again 4 years ago, I think even I realised it may not just be Band 28, but may be the fact that Telstra doesn't support VoLTE on unknown devices, such as Xiaomi devices. By using the force-enable VoLTE by the USSD Code, I was able to enable VoLTE on my 7 years old Redmi Note phone but that works only with Optus and Vodafone, and their respective MVNOs.
No luck with Telstra or its MVNOs.
@djoz: its all a bit random at the moment djoz - for example from my testing boost volte works fine on redmi 13 pro 5g
its like telstra has a list of phone that it allows volte to work on and others that it does not
also - with regards to this lebara deal have a look at the following from their site:
"In accordance with the Standard Form of Agreement, unless otherwise agreed with Lebara in writing, a Lebara SIM and/or eSIM can only be used with Approved Devices as specified by Lebara.
Lebara may add or withdraw devices from this list from time to time. etc etc "
so basically they can chuck you off the service if you are not using a phone thats on their list
"A Lebara SIM and/or eSIM that is used in non-approved devices may be suspended by Lebara, unless Lebara has otherwise given approval in writing. "
pretty shifty if you have bought a 12 month pre paid service
@avtek: This rider is present on several telcos' T&Cs, although they wont really suspend your service. It may be their way of limiting their liability to provide such VoLTE/VoWIFI or any other such 'network and firmware dependent' services. So we may not really challenge them in case we dont get those services. Buying Xiaomi / overseas phones actually saves a lot of $, so it is a bit of a compromise.
If you are very worried, you may think of investing $7 on a Starter Pack and activate a dummy number just to see it works all fine, before porting your main number to this $119 annual plan.
@djoz: thanks!! the starter pack is ideal - cheers
Dang, seems to use Vodafone network.
"Vodafone expands operations with Lebara purchase"
Vodafone. No thanks!
i need more data than calling. what can be options? thanks
Does anyone know of a cheap 6 or 12month prepaid plan with free call forwarding?
Be warned people, this is on the Vodafone network. Maybe if they pay me to use their network.
There is a cashback offer on CR upto $55 on Boost 12months plan. If anyone is interesred in getting Boost.
Also getting popup message on their app that they're increasing their prices from 22nd October on all plans.
In Woolies photo the physical pack (bottom left) it is printed "Activate by 19/08/24 for 40GB one-off bonus at activation.
Do we get Bonus 40Gb if Activate by 19/08/24 (printed on packaging ) or 05/11/24 (per lebara website) ????
Do we know if this available in all stores? I checked one at Southern Cross station and this offer was not there.
Pay only $107.1 if you have Woolies discount
