  • Naproxen works well for me for leg pains which nearly stop me walking. I'd be going for the 8 x 24 deal for $60 though - that would be more like $120 though local pharmacies. The "period pain" thing is just advertising to a profitable market segment; it's just another anti-inflammatory, but for me at least (male) it disturbs my stomach less.

    • Do you need to take it Mutiple times a day or just a single time?

      • Pretty much the same as Ibuprofen. I take two to start and then often another one a few hours later and occasionally one more later on if I feel the need. I only take them in the evening though.

    • Have you tried/considered Osteomol 665 over this? They have a slower release and work well for my chronic getting old pains(hips, back, legs). Im not sure whats in these Naproxen but if its anything like some other heavier over the counter pain meds they generally arent recommended to be taken constantly. I know when i was taking Nurofen constantly my heart rate was constantly up. Stopped when i dropped them for Osteomol.

      • The ingredient in naproxen is a NSAID antiinflammatory, same as ibuprofen (nurofen). The most significant difference is that it has a longer duration of action (6-8 hours), otherwise they are basically interchangeable. Slow release paracetamol would be better for long term use, however may not be as effective

      • Osteomol would seem to be just Paracetamol (Panadol) which I don't find effective.

  • Bloody good deal!

  • So is this in fact one of those paid relief products marketed at a particular group that in fact contains exactly the same active ingredients as every other pain relief product, or does it genuinely help the particular condition it says on the box its for?

    • Just marketing. It’s an nsaid like voltaren.

      • +1

Hold on, whilst they are all in the family of NSAIDs, they are all different chemicals so behave differently and have different side effects while performing the same basic anti pain and inflammation role.

        • But nothing that’s period pain specific.

  • I bought this for my gf. I’m now looking for a deal on a dog house.

  • Hi OP - is this bundle the same as this deal? https://pharmacysavings.com.au/products/48x-ibuprofen-200mg-…

It doesn't state the expiry date.
