Philips without auto milk $399

The miele is far better looking and better coffee (I have one)
Don't be torn, go a Jura
Bro their like 3k lol
A bit extreme, and I won't be using it every day. Just like one touch machine to grind me beansssssssAll over gumtree etc. I bought my refurbished jura impressa for $500 and it's the best purchase I've made in a minute.
If you can find an honest seller this is the way IMO.😀Just looked into it. There are so many models listed. What model should I aim for?
@Pricebeat: J9's are good value second hand.
Something like this will do you well.https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/downer/coffee-machines/jura-…?
If you can spring for an Impressea S8 or above all the better. 😀
Hey man your right, but hit marketplace and get a second hand one you'll never look back, z9, z7 etc excellent units.
Is it hard to clean these machines?
Cleaning anything with water and pumps etc is a pain in the ass imo.
That is what is stopping me from getting an automatic machine. I find manual machines easy to clean.
Not to difficult. Have had one for 3 years. I just use a cleaning tablet once every 6months. Then do a deep clean by disassembling everything once a year. Easy to disassemble and put back. I think the manual says clean more frequently, but I just do a weekly clean down of the water collecting parts and it works fine.
Mould grows inside if you don't clean frequently. You have to clean the group head assembly once a week. The grounds still go all over the place inside.
Yep, instruction manual says once a week clean, and once a month tablet clean, which I have been following it has been great.
Not sure why you got negged but what you said is true.
It's like an incubator for mould if not cleaned frequent enough.@mrgeckoz: Maybe some people like mould flavoured coffee
No, these are pretty easy to clean.
Can you single dose these? I'd like to switch between caffeine and decaf
You can through the top chute, but you can't single dose using the built in grinder. We have a separate grinder for decaf and put in the ground coffee via the top chute.
Terrible machine stay away. 2 years in and not heating the coffee or milk that well.
More than two years in and coffee is coming out hot and strong, love it for the size. But the milk has never been a favorite. It a few blinks the froth disappears. I knew this was going to happen. I use a separate frother.
Dont you love it wheb spmeone assumes a product is bad because they had a singular bad experience.
Its like they are trying to get one back on the company or something lol
I've got two of these and had them for over 2 years now. One at work and one at home. Each doing 4-8 coffees a day.
I'm yet to find any automatic machine that is comparable with Cafe quality, but if you want a quick coffee on the go it's great.
I spent a while dialing the grind (make sure you are running the grinder when making adjustments)
The only pain is cleaning it which i do once a month or so.
I pull out the group and soak all the mechanism but i never get all the old grinds out.
Everything else goes in the dish washer, i then rinse out all the internals and let it sit in the sun, yet to damage it but at this stage they've paid for themselves a few times over.
Whats the strength like?
One thing ive always struggled with auto machines and pod machines is weak coffee no matter the settings.
It's a pressurized basket. So you need to factor that in (ie. You can't grind as fine as a proper espresso setup). Also, it's only around 9grams a puck. So you might need to do two singles.
Is this the same machine? Would be good to use my HN Amex offer if I could https://www.harveynorman.com.au/philips-lattego-2200s-automa….
It has it as a 2200s, anyone know what the s means?
EP2231/40, same unit.
Thanks I forgot about the Amex hv thing, gonna get the non auto milk version, I already have a separate milk warmer. Was waiting for a decent breville impress touch deal but it was prob overkill since all I want is an expresso maker
bought my lattego 2200 in 2021. no issues so far. bought another 2 but the 4300 version for my relatives which has more coffee options
Bought a 4300 at this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/842709
no complaints, super easy and good coffee, having one nowDoes this one make a cup of frothed milk… or only froth WITH a coffee beverage?
You can just stop it before it goes from milk to coffee
I imagine it's already ground the coffee by that stage?
I have the 4300 version of this which will do just milk.
This version does not do that and if it is like the 4300 it does the coffee first then the milk.
I had the 4300, sold it, bought Breville Barista Express Impress, much better coffee and much easier to clean…
Why the neg for Mrgeckoz? His opinion is valid. Here's a plus to balance it out.
I guess the Breville Barista Express could make better coffee, but nothing beats the convenience of a super automatic - a reasonable cup of coffee in 2 min. And nothing to clean up immediately.
Great for the morning coffee before rushing to work.I agree with the convenience brought by full automatic.
But man, the brew group unit and its compartment is so damn difficult to clean and grow mould easily in just one week or two.
In comparison, the portafilter on the Breville just takes 2 seconds to rinse.
Any insight into whether or not the 4300 is worth paying $200 more?
This or magnifica?
