I just cup the bottom of the milk jug to gauge temp.
I used to do this but bought a espresso milk thermometer from Temu to test temp. Realised I should be keeping it going for another 5 seconds or so more so now I just do that (without using the thermometer) and the milk is better

I know it's not popular to like this temperature jug, but I do. I can't accurately judge the temp with my hands like many others do. I like being precise and knowing exactly how warm the milk is, particularly if making a coffee in a mug for home vs for my yeti takeaway cup which I like to make slightly cooler since the yeti keeps it so hot.
The jug takes away any ambiguity for me, 2 bars for takeaway, 3 bars for at home.
I found a very simple method, there is a point where the handle metal overlaps the jug, so it's twice as thick there, I rest my little finger there, and when it gets hot, it's done. Very easy. If I'm doing it for my takeaway, I do it until I can't touch that same piece due to being too hot.
I say this as I got a bigger jug so I can do more than 2 cups of a coffee at a time, which is amazing!I just bought a milk thermometer for $8 from amazon.
I haven't got a straight answer from Costco, does anyone know for a fact if Costco uphold the warranty and/or return policy in the even you are no longer a Costco member later on - at the time of claim?
They don't unfortunately. You're better off getting it price matched at some retailer

I wouldn't trust AI for questions like this as their models are trained on 12-24 month old data.
Personally I spent the extra on the Express Impress which has a tamping handle. I think the reduced mess and consistent tamp pressure is definitely worth it (at least for the price difference when I was buying).
I have the touch impress and agree it's less mess…. not sure how good the tamping is though.
I bought one of these 5 years ago and it's still going strong. Can't recommend enough if you are looking for a barista machine.
$448 lasted a very short time, it was an eBay code not meant to include the Barista Express and it was quickly corrected by Bing Lee.
So $498 was a more realistic ATL, but that time it included 2 x 250g freshly roasted beans, $20-$30 value.

This is the lowest I have seen in Costco for this machine. Great machine with temp control jug is a bonus if you care about temp while frothing milk
