I've had it for years and hasn't missed a damn beat. Paid $99. Small, but unkillable so far and does what it's meant to do without any bullshit features.
And it gets used ALOT
Small, like it can cook a whole chicken?
Chicken sizes are variable these days. If it's a spatchcock between 350 g and 500 g, then I'd say yes. Plus, cut the chicken into quarters, whether for marinating or even heat. They'd all work. A traditional oven is still preferred for a moist, stuffed chicken like a Thanksgiving Turkey.
Amazon reviews say no, it's slightly too small.
I share the same feeling. The only downside is the analog timer. I am used to raising my arm to set a timer with an Apple watch.
Haha I haven't even thought about that compared to yelling "Google set a timer for ten minutes"
First world problems … soooo hard!
its small, only fits 1 pie, with 2 not fitting unless angled. also the analog timer of mine isn't accurate at all.
I have the 6.2L rather than the 4.1L.
They are the same depth, but the 6.2L has a larger surface area.
Can do a whole 1.5kg chicken / full meals without having to pile food in the 6.2. I think the 4.1 wouldn't quite be big enough.
6.2 worth the extra $$ IMHO (got it for $129 in the 2000 series)In general philips air fryers circulate the air really well and, much better than randa brands I've used in the past, so the units themselves are great.
Not quite the same but I have the one of the original Philips air fryers that is very very similar to this one. I got it shortly after they were first released and it has not missed a beat and it is also heavily used.. excellent product.
Only criticism is the basket is a little small if you want to try the fancier cooking that people have worked out how to do with airfryers. And things on more upmarket airfryers like digital timer and a window so you can watch the action could be handy as well .
It gets a %75 review on choice . The only recommended one on choice of a similar price is %80, so not much more retail of this model ($199) , but given the terrific price on this deal I would not hesitate to get one ..
These are the bad points on this model from the choice review.. (Full review https://www.choice.com.au/products/home-and-living/kitchen/b… )
"• Labelling is small but clear with 40°C increments for temperature and timer has 10 min increments, may not be accurate.
• No viewing window.
• Drawer has ridges where residue can stick, fairly easy to clean in a domestic sink.
• Can be difficult to clean around exposed element.
• No on/off button timer control will turn on the unit."What is automatic shut-off?
Anyways good bargain from a reputable brand. I got the Tefal 7.5L one from about 2 months ago, air fryers are awesome
Sposed to prevent over-cooking or burning

ive had this for a few years. It is a great low cost way to test whether you'll use an air fryer.
but it is very small. you can do two pieces of protein, but no veg. or one piece protein and some veg on the side.
really, for single people fine, otherwise go for 6L
i use it almost every time when cooking for one
Anyone have this and can give feedback?
