If you've seen or been to a Parramatta meetup, like last year, you know that Parramatta is always the biggest one in Sydney. But I'm sure you guys know me — I only compete with myself, so this year the Parramatta event will be bigger than ever! Expect to see lots of new and returning OzBargainers as well as a ton of sponsors supporting us with discounts, prizes and giveaways (I might chip in some myself 😉).

Pay a deposit to secure your spot (instructions below). Once your spot is secured, you OzBargain username will be published below under "Confirmed Attendees". If your name is not published, you will not be able to attend this event.
As this is a capped event, to confirm your spot to this meet-up, I will be taking a $10 fully refundable deposit via Beemit. This $10 deposit is fully refundable in cash if you show up to the meetup.

FAQ
Q: What happens if I don't show up to the meetup?
A: You will lose your $10 deposit, and you will earn a special black badge — No Show, which may impact your ability to register for events in the future.
Q: I can no longer attend the meetup. What now?
A: Send me a PM or tag me ASAP so I can remove you from the list and refund your $10 deposit. This must be done at least 5 days before the event date (i.e. by Monday 11 November 2024).
Q: How are there so many prizes?
A: I am ISP. Impressive Sponsored Prizes. Trust me bro.
Q: Can I win more than one prize?
A: No. So count your luck and pray you get a good prize.
Q: I am a vegan/vegetarian. What food options are there?
A: We have catered for you with plenty of vegan/vegetarian food reserved purely for you (if you're fast enough). Can't stop those hungry OzB'ers…
Q: How long will the event go for?

Update 29/10/2024
Venue and booking for the night has been confirmed - good ol' Commercial Hotel. We've held our Parramatta meetup events here over the years, with the biggest one last year. Ironically they don't allow 18th Birthdays, but if we keep quiet should be good lol. Recall how last year we were downstairs in the beer garden. This year they've renovated this space (opening this week) and it looks beautiful according to the manager; however we will not be using the beer garden this year. For our group of 80, the manager has suggested we book the upstairs verandah bar instead. I assume it will look like this but I am not sure as of yet because we may just be using a portion of this space. I'll wing it on the day but the manager did say it will be more suitable for us.
Pax of 80 is finalised and this event is full (thanks for all your deposits). Registrations will remain closed, and there will no waitlist. If anyone drops out, I will personally PM those who leave a comment requesting to attend, under the following conditions: (1) long time members who are (2) are active on OzBargain with a satisfactory number of (i) upvotes, or (ii) comments. And while we're on this topic, anyone who knows they are no longer able to attend - please let me know ASAP so I can give your spot to other desperate OzBargainers.
Shortly I will be drafting up an order for food and drinks. This will be quite expensive however I'm sure if I select pizza, pizza and more pizza we can feed everyone without breaking our huge budget 😅. I will also cater for vegans and vegetarians.

I've already received some of the prizes however I am still waiting on some companies to confirm their prizes. I estimate in total there will be 20-30 prizes to give out on the night, as well as discount codes for everyone. @Clear has the most prizes of all sponsors at this stage, but I'll be adding more to mine as I got to offload lots of free Amazon sh!t haha.
Prizes will be drawn via a raffle ticket system to ensure nobody wins twice, unless @scotty can implement a system where a winner cannot win again in which case we can use the OzB randomiser (maybe a column in the events page for 'prizes')?
T-shirts: we will try to get them from @scotty however no guarantees on them. One thing is for certain - not everyone will receive one; and if you do, it may not be your correct size. We have hundreds of OzBargainers attending meetups with only 300 t-shirts available, so you can go figure…
