Hey everyone. This will be my 2nd and final birthday meetup that I will be organising, at Bankstown NSW 2200. [insert Bankstown postcode meme]

Each person will done on the 2-hour All You Can Eat buffet with a cup for each person for unlimited bottomless soft drinks.

Located inside the Bankstown RSL Community Club, Star Buffet offers you great value gourmet buffet, ranging from Australian, Asian and European cuisine, sushi train, roast duck and BBQ pork plus all your favourite seafood and roasts, not to mention the many tempting desserts in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We are located within a 10 minute walk from the Bankstown Train Station.

Hopefully there will be some sponsors for this event (as the Parramatta meetup will be the more sponsored one), possibly prizes from ISP himself :)

We appreciate @scotty and OzBargain for sponsoring this event with a very generous amount ($45pp) for food, drinks, entertainment and 2024 OzBargain T-shirts for the big fans.

Note: not everyone is going to receive a free OzBargain T-shirt of their sizes — consider that as a bonus rather than entitlement.

How to attend? ⚠️DEPOSITS CLOSED⚠️

  2. Pay a deposit to secure your spot (instructions below). Once your spot is secured, you OzBargain username will be published below under "Confirmed Attendees". If your name is not published, you will not be able to attend this event.

As this is a capped event, to confirm your spot to this meet-up, I will be taking a $10 fully refundable deposit via Beemit. This $10 deposit is fully refundable in cash if you show up to the meetup.

Once you have paid your deposit, there is nothing else to do. Once we are close to reaching capacity, I will close this deposit process and the remaining attendees will be chosen via an invite-only basis.

    My wife and I want to both go but we've been sharing my account since forever.

    Will it be possible for my wife to be covered as well. We'll only go to one this event only :)

    If not then we'll both share the $45 hehe.

      OzBargain meetups are strictly users only this year. In the past there were some leniency for partners, children or other family members that don't have OzBargain accounts. However for this year we decided that one must have an OzBargain account to be part of the meetup.

      We won't allow "new accounts" from participating in meetups either. In the last couple of years we had accounts created just to have free meals at OzBargain meetups, and then never logged in again.

      I thought about this place before you updated the location. I have tried it during lunch time long time ago with some friends. International passport was not accepted, lol. Lucky, someone has member card and all can enter but need to fill a form lol. This is in RSL building. Maybe better if you could help checking people who'll attend this. Hopefully no problem for anyone to enter the building.

          We only came to eat buffet, not gambling … The security need to learn good hospitality …

          Better for anyone to come early if they need to fill a form because they are not members of the RSL, lol. Someone need to help these people by showing member card …

          Everyone need to bring real ID. Not everyone has AU passport or driving license.

              @I Smell Pennies: Maybe, just in case someone looks so young under 18. It's best for everyone to bring ID. One people with member card should help with the entrance of the rest. Hopefully no one come late, then need to fill a form lol.

                @neoleo: Just called the club.

                • If attendees live >10km from the club, they can sign themselves in.

                • If attendees live <10km from the club, a member will have to sign them in. If this is the case - I can help sign them in (unlimited number of people).

                • ALL adults will need a valid Australian ID to enter the venue. International passport accepted if they have been in Australia less than 3 months.
