    you'll need the wifi version which should hook up to your existing wiring

    POE stands for Power over Ethernet, which would powerup and connect the doorbell directly to a POE switch or NVR with POE switches.

    Long story short if you want the simplest swap without additional wiring, setup, you'll need the Wifi version

  Thanks for this. Just ordered and got $82 delivered using the pay after delivery option.
  Time to run a CAT cable in preparation for this arriving then I’ll integrate it in to HA for notifications and NVR recording via Synology.

  I have this camera and setup to reolink NVR. Works well on the app to IOS. There is something wlightly wrong with mine that when it detects shadows, it is reporting a person, however this can be forgiven. I find that our other Reolink cameras and app function really well via ethernet - highly recommend

    yes i use it on frigate. it supports RTSP, RTMP and ONVIF (and more).

    On BlueIris for me. Also use Home Assistant for some automations and scrypted to get it into Apple ecosystem.

  Given this is 180 degree, would it be better to mount it front-on (facing the street), or on the side wall of the porch (which is 90 degrees/perpendicular to the door)? Hopefully that makes sense. Install would be a smidge easier on the side wall rather than the front-on wall.

    Really up to you, you may find the white one is better suited for your use, as it has a different aspect ratio.

    It comes with a wedge so you can aim it (15 degrees, I think?) towards entrance if you mount on the wall

      Interesting. Thanks for the info!

      Black is 4:3, and white is 3:4- so white probably better suited to my narrow longer porch, but don’t see any deals on white (can’t even find it on AliExpress) so will stick to the black one.

      I’m thinking I might be able to use the wedge you mention to tilt it 15 degrees and put it on that perpendicular wall so it’s not facing front on, and still get good vision of what’s coming toward the door from the front path.

        BTW the top of that page I linked has the white one for sale :) $140aud for wifi, $126 for poe

        You could always get a black one on sale and then turn it 90 degrees to see if you want the white one instead, then reuse the black one for another door.

        Or go gangbusters and do both walls so you have two doorbells :)

    I 3d printed a 45 degree wedge, that sits in a corner between my door frame and brickwork, which gives me a pretty decent viewing angle

  For anyone that was looking for this, the Aliexpress choice sale is back with $12 discount +$4 discount. Brings it down to $84 or so. With coins, I managed to get it down to $72.

  Instead of accessing the Doorbell straight through the listing, look at the listing a few times, then click on "coins" on your app on the home page, in the suggested list below should be the doorbell now. Buy it this way and it lets you get a higher % discount using coins. Great price for the doorbell!
