Kicking off from 5pm AEST on September 1st is the next Choice Day sales and here are both OzBargain exclusive and standard coupon codes to go along with the sale. These codes work with both USD and AUD as your AliExpress currency. Despite this being a Choice Sale the codes should work on pretty much everything.

Choice Products are shipped directly from the AliExpress warehouse and typically arrive within 2 weeks. If the delivery exceeds 14 business days you're able to claim a coupon and if it's not delivered a full refund after 30 days. Most of my recent Choice orders have arrived within 7 business days.

Coupons are 1 per account, do not stack with the new user "Welcome Offer" and "Big Save" promotions. The minimum spend excludes GST and shipping.

Discount (USD) Min Spend (USD) Discount (AUD) Min Spend (AUD) Coupon Code 1 Coupon Code 2
US$3 US$29 A$5 A$50 OZCD05 AUCD05
US$8 US$69 A$12 A$100 OZCD12 AUCD12
US$20 US$169 A$30 A$250 OZCD30 AUCD30
US$30 US$239 A$45 A$350 OZCD45 AUCD45
US$50 US$369 A$75 A$550 OZCD75 AUCD75

Alternative coupons with different discounts can be found here. Please note these codes may not work and I'm not 100% sure why. Potentially new accounts who've only made 1 or 2 orders or old accounts that haven't made a purchase in a long time.

For those paying in USD this is how you get the correct exchange rate in PayPal:

Setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion results in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Now you'll get the correct MasterCard or VISA exchange rate depending on the card.

          Oh goodie, $3 off

          Isn't that just great?

  • +3

It looks like on sale Every month, everyday.

  • +1

what my shit hasnt been delivered from last sale yet

  • I'm still waiting for mine from the last sale, 5 days ago they said "Leaving from departure country/region", but nothing after that.

    • +4

      Nothing unusual there.

      • It's the first time I've ever see it get stuck there. AliExpress's tracking seems to disagree with Parcelsapp and 17track. Parcelsapp says "Hand over to airline", while 17track picks up info from Singapore Post saying "Item En Route to Postal Facility".

        • Is the carrier Singapore Post? They can be slow.

          • @Clear: It tracks on their website and the tracking number ends in SG, so I'm assuming so?

            • @ldd-mn: Try tracking through this https://postal.ninja/en . If the tracking number has changed it'll show that.

              • @nwtau: That gives the same status as Parcelsapp

            • @ldd-mn: Yep they're pretty slow unfortunately. Like 3-4 weeks.

            • @ldd-mn: The tracking with Singapore Post seems to be pretty bad and has a lag to it. I got an update this morning finally about my item, but the update was that it moved on the 29th. I checked on the 29th and yesterday and nothing was showing in the app tracking or with postal ninja.

  • Had many ali orders over the last few months but my order from last week has been stuck in 'to ship'.

Slowly, one by one the orders expire and get refunded but not sure what happened to that order.

    • Are you buying 'Choice' items or just the cheapest seller possible?

      • +1

I bought a Choice item from a seller with ~92% positive feedback from the last sale, they never shipped it (only just been refunded yesterday through PayPal), so can't trust them unless the item has a decent amount of feedback I guess (item I bought didn't have any feedback).

        • +2

92% positive feedback is really bad, try to aim for 97% and above,

          • @ldd-mn: True, should've noped out but the price + being a Choice item made it tempting.

        • I did have one Choice order recently stuck in "to ship" and it was automatically refunded - then re-ordered from same seller to same address and it shipped successfully and has now hit Aussie Post shipping. FWIW

      • Yep, always choice

  • +3

does OZCD in the codes stand for "Ozbargain Compulsive Disorder"?

    • Is that what I have? Is that why I hate paying full price?

      • +1

in the scheme of life we're all just brothers
rehabilitate with all the others šŸ˜‹

        ..well, I'll see ya!

        • shabaka means network lol

    • I have that

I just periodically check this site throughout the day, not even consciously

  • +1

If anyone is wondering, the discount seem to be less that what was offered in the sale that ended a few days back (26th).
    I got 40USD off 280USD in that. Here 50 off 369 is a lower %.

    • +5

Choice sales are always lower. It's the mid-month sales where you can get the bigger discounts.

      • Good to know. Thanks! AliExpress has too many sales now I've lost track. Didn't know that the choice sales happen almost every month!
When it used to be 11.11, I'd wait till then and get pretty good discounts.

  • +1

    hopefully these work

  • This is better than eBay plus and I didn't even have to pay for the privilege.

  • -2

These coupons really only just cancel out the stupid tax Aliexpress charges on the products

    • +5

You mean our Govt tax, GST.

    • What would you suggest otherwise?

  • +1

Hey @Clear, as our resident AliExpert, have you got any pointers for maximising the 'coins' through the app?

I've been collecting the 70 coins through the app + the 40 coins through the desktop page daily (US $1.10 per day isn't a bad freebie!) But I have no end of issues trying to actually redeem them… the varying '56% off' is not something I've actually been able to get more than once. It seems to have to be a standalone order?

    • Each listing will tell you what percentage discount coins will give you. Most of the time it's only 2-3%. If you check the coins section of the app you can find ones that give higher discounts.

    • +1

You can buy a multiple of a single item that has a big coin discount and it is often still cheaper than just buying 1.
For instance, the other day I bought a desk mat from the 'earn more coins section', it was $8 each + the $2.99 postage, but buying 2 took it over the $15 free post threshold and then still got the 55% coin discount - ended up being just over $8 posted for 2.

    • +1

I have 20158 coins right now. Best I can redeem is a few tens at a time, so don't stress too much about it…

  • +1

Time to buy more retro handhelds

    • Find any good ones?

      • I own a trimui smart pro and rgb30. I didn't look to buy anymore, but there's plenty of awesome devices

  • Does the coupon hack still work?

    • +2

      What hack?

      • Filling your cart with an amount to get the coupon discount then entering in incorrect credit card details, removing the extra items and completing the transaction.

        • +2

          didnt work i just tried

  • Anyone waiting for rp5?

    • +1

      rp mini for meeee

  • it's my first time ever touching this website, is it like recommended to spend $369 for the discount or something? i'm looking at picking a few clothes up and seeing it only gives a $8 discount doesn't make it seem that much of a discount? i might be unaware of something else tho

  • USD$469 in cart

Sorry, these coupon codes have already been claimed. However, you can still enjoy other great deals on AliExpress.
    AUCD75
Applies discount but then when progressing checkout:
"Order unsuccessful. Some of the discounted items in your order can only be placed in limited amounts, or their discounts have already been used. Please check and reduce the amount of discounted items, or remove items with already used discounts"

So now I have to sift through the 30 or so items in the cart to randomly get lucky to remove those illegible. Rubbish.

Let's try a basket of only the Choice item in cart to check out, USD$160.

    OZCD12
Sorry, these coupon codes have already been claimed. However, you can still enjoy other great deals on AliExpress.

    AUCD12
    Applied discount USD$8.16

    Then when progressing throws Error
Some of the discounted items in your order can only be placed in limited amounts, or their discounts have already been used. Please check and reduce the amount of discounted items, or remove items with already used discounts.

    Rubbish.

    • +1

I suspect those items will be "Limited Deals" from the Super Deals section.

      • -2

Add non-choice items, that is items Ship by global sellers
        $309.81
        OZCD45
        Discount $31.12
        Order progresses without error.

The remaining items, the choice items, these are shown here:
        https://photos.app.goo.gl/2sP5dyVtoXMLKvwCA

Nothing in the cart to distinguish if any of these are " "Limited Deals"". They are standard choice items and should be fulfilled.

Although when I choose the choice items and look at the summary discounts, these appear to be in conflict with the codes.

USD$76.76 Of Choice items in cart which doesn't trigger the automatic application of "AliExpress Coupons used"
        OZCD12
Sorry, these coupon codes have already been claimed. However, you can still enjoy other great deals on AliExpress.
        AUCD12
        Already Applied
        OZCD05
Are you sure you want to use this coupon, you'll loose US $5.00 from our $3 discount.
        AUCD05

        USD $191 in cart,
        OZCD30
        Applied $20.16 discount
Progressed as 199 (more than would have otherwise been withoutcoupon)

        Total $179.22

OK so the COUPONS APPEAR TO BE APPLIED AUTOMATICALLY for choice items, but you need a separate checkout of non-choice items to use coupons for non-choice items.

        https://photos.app.goo.gl/kLrcN9kiDzvcqMb3A

But then when progressing I'm still thrown error.

        Order unsuccessful
Some of the discounted items in your order can only be placed in limited amounts, or their discounts have already been used. Please check and reduce the amount of discounted items, or remove items with already used discounts.

So a choice promo that can't attain conversions. Good one.

  • Cool. It worked with Big Save item.

    • Great what did you buy?

      • +1

        A Redmi note 13 Pro+ mobile phone.
Paid $534 in end-July for a 512+12G global version when my UK Poco F3 couldn't register Vodafone network.
Now after the coupon, same model costs $474 for wife. That's $60 (10%+) saving in one month time.

  • +1

Some of the Steeldive SD1970's on rubber are US$51.82 + GST in this link.

  • Your order amount, after discounts and excluding shipping fees, doesn't reach the minimum spend requirement for this coupon code. Once you reach the minimum spend requirement, you can reapply this coupon code.

    cart is $79…………………

    • What code are you using? USD or AUD?

      • both OZCD05 AUCD05
        all items were choice.

  • -1

Don't waste your money - so many instances, mine included, of product not being delivered, whilst showing as delivered. They then make you jump through ridiculous hoops to get a refund. Not worth the small savings vs buying on Amazon

  • When I put through AUCD12 nothing happens.

  • The VISA site has never displayed the correct rate using a HSBC Everyday global for me.
    USD $83.05
    VISA site = 123.055144 AUD
    HSBC charged = $124.65

  • Yup none of codes worked for me on any xiaoxin pad pro tablets

  • "Sorry, these coupon codes have already been claimed." — do these refresh, or all over?

  • Ah yeah, crap! I forgot to put my order through in time.. šŸ˜… Guess I'll have to wait until next month!
