There's no such thing as having too many retro handheld emulators and this little cute one from Powkiddy is no exception. While it's not the most powerful out there in terms of price, this one has a wider display and control layout than the usual small offerings which makes it excellent for Gameboy platforms such as the Gameboy Advance. The chipset is able to handle up to the PS1, it runs ArkOS out of the box and the build quality (especially the buttons) is excellent.

It has all the usual buttons you'd expect on these handhelds and while it doesn't have WiFi/Bluetooth inbuilt you can get it via a dongle connected to the USB port. WiFi is essential helpful for using PortMaster.

The cheapest handheld on the listing is the colour Grey with a 64GB microSD card with the rest costing a few dollars extra. Personally I'm torn between Grey and Khaki.

      The lack of built-in Wi-Fi is a deal breaker for me; especially since I just set up Syncthing to sync my save file across all my handhelds.

        I never thought of using Syncthing - that's a smart idea. I just have folder dumps on my PC and it's a hassle.

  WiFi is essential for using PortMaster.

  Wrong, you can 100% download everything you need on PC, phone, whatever, and copy over to the PM folder.

      WiFi is definitely a LOT easier though, especially in terms of making shit pretty, ie, artwork scraping.

      But yeah, outside of the ready to run ports, when you download them via PM, you're still expected to copy over your own PC files anyways. If you follow everything legally and of course you would on a console like this, you'll have to plug your memory card in and copy stuff either way.
