hope there will be some deals for Vivo X Fold 3 Pro global version

    • A phone for for Jesus himself, OMFG I now know exactly what I’m gonna buy as soon as I get some cash!

  • I have this phone and I got a text today from Catch Mobile saying that although this model supports 4G/5G, it is not built to Australian standards and uses 3G to make emergency calls. So after 3G is switched off, I'll not be able to call 000.
Is this true? Can it be fixed?

    • I've found that also I have xiaomi note 10 pro that covers all bands I've checked all frequency lists & I'm sure it will work I believe they are sending the message out for most non Telstra network "compliant " phones i think it's wrong & when I called Telstra over a year ago about a message bank problem they asked what phone did I have when I told them they said it's my phone it's not Telstra complaint. Lol idiots it came right after they fixed there end .

      • I hope you are right, but it is true that many phones use 3G for emergency calls. It's a hardware limitation which Xiaomi may not be disclosing.
I don't know if this only applies to situations when the phone can't connect to my provider and has to use any other available network to call 000.

    • It will work fine as you have other bands to fall 000, on yes you won’t be able to on 3G as it’s being turned off!

        From Aldimobile website:

Most devices that support 4G VoLTE (Voice over LTE) will be able to make emergency calls to 000 after the 3G network is shut down on 31 August 2024. However, some older 4G devices may be locked to use the 3G network specifically for emergency calls.
If your device is affected by this issue, it means that once the 3G network is decommissioned, your device will lose the ability to connect to any network for making emergency calls to 000, even though it may still be able to make regular calls over 4G VoLTE

  • just wondering if there is any other good deal atm on aliexpress? my oneplus 12 has just pasted away because of his reckless master. I am currently looking at some budget phones like iqoo z9 turbo, or slightly more costly ones like iqoo neo 9s pro/+, but the camera makes me hard to pull the trigger.

  • I'm a current user of a POCO X3 Pro, which I like. My son had one as well, but it died due to the buggy PMIC. From my understanding of the problem, the phone may actually be fixable through a firmware re-flash and a PMIC recalibration. However, stupid Xiaomi device unlocking policy won't let me unlock the phone that can only boot as far as FastBoot menu.

Contrast that with the Motorola unlocking process, where an unlock can be done quite simply with adb attached and phone in FastBoot menu. i.e. You can actually flash the firmware when the phone won't boot and you need to re-flash existing or new firmware.

As much as I like the X6 Pro specs, I'm not too keen on going back to the Xiaomi ecosystem.
