There was a similar deal posted earlier but it's been unpublished, hmmm

    This deal is not published.
Poco X6 Pro 8GB 256GB Global Version US$247.72 (~A$373.28) Delivered @ Xiaomi Authorized Store AliExpress (Deal doesn't meet AliExpress posting guidelines)

(Personally I'm not sure why someone would buy a poco with all the issues the X3 Pro had, and the lack of updates, they basically drop support once they stop selling them)

POCO X3 pro user here. I agree. Never getting a POCO again

    • Don't need their support if there's custom ROM support

      • Is there good support for Poco custom ROMs using MediaTek chips? I know Snapdragon are well supported on XDA, never gone with a MediaTek phone.

        • I think it depends on the device, this might be too new for support

    • +2

unpublished as seller only had 92.5% feedback (seller has to have >95%)

  • No eSim.

  • Oppo find x3 pro or this?

    • Oppo

no idea why people are sleeping on this, for under $400 this thing hits nearly 1.5M antutu and keeps up with the latest samsungs performance

No warranty though, or will be painful to deal with.

    • My X3 Pro NFC died, data lost

  • Does anyone happen to have any recommendations for a phone that has an IR blaster, similar to the Poco X3 Pro as we are currently running, for a decent price?

Seem to be in the same boat as alot of other people. Mrs and I both have one, mine still going, but hers died last week after 2.5 years, purchased for $330 so eh, can deal.

Issue is we have a heap of old appliances, eg. TVs and Aircons, without remotes which we use the IR blaster for.

Not sure if I should be trusting Poco again, so any suggestions would be very welcome. Thanks!

I believe Ulefone are still putting IR blasters in some of their devices. Fair amount of compromises though. Not sure on your exact use-case but I'd be looking at some sort of IoT IR blaster device to put in each room, or getting many $10 universal remotes from your Chinese tat seller of choice.

  • The price inclu gst?

    • yes

  • I order price is AU$426.02 inclu gst. not same title.

    • did you change the currency option to US$ ?
did you use the coupon code?

the checkout page should look like this

  • For everyone saying buy something else.

    Exactly what are better options?

    • Pixel 6a was roughly this price on sale. Better software, esim support and much better cameras.

      • Pixel 6a battery life is worse (4410Wh vs 5000mAh). Add to that the charging rate topping out at 18w vs 67w on the Poco. Might be the greatest build in the world but hardly useful when it spends half the day on charge

For me, I'd go with twice as much RAM (12G vs 6GB) and 25% faster CPU for the same price over a marginally better camera (which is a bit questionable, Pixel has a 12.2mp camera and the x6 a 64mp camera but I guess it's how you use it) but of course we each have our own priorities.

eSIM is missing but if that was a priority you could just go the Redmi note 13 pro which is only slightly more expensive than this phone, with 200mp camera and eSIM support, weaker CPU but would still do better than the Pixel 6a speed wise.

        • For the Redmi note 13 Pro is the support / updates better than the Poco?

          • +1

@Mat_Lab: The X6 Pro receives 3 OS upgrades, ending on Android 17, and 4 years of software/security updates, through to January 2028.

All Redmi Note 13 series phones will ship with MIUI 14 based on Android 13, in India as well as Global. All phones will get 3 years of Android updates (up to Android 16) & 4 years of security updates

So no, the Poco's upgrade policy is better given that it ships with Android 14.

            • +2

@trotsky: What Poco say and do are two different things, with the X3 Pro they said they'd update it through to April 2024, with the region set to Australia the last update was Jan 2022, setting the region to Poland got a Jan 2023 update, no where near the claimed April 2024…

      • I need a phone that simply works and gets security updates.
I would prefer a phone with esim, 5ah battery
Which of the Pixel phones is worth buying? Nb. I can get a Pixel 8 for $783.99

        • +1

Pixel 7a, good size and 5 yrs updates
