    Tell us the price son.

The link only shows Qantas points as payment.
I'd also like to know if it's possible to purchase with Dollarbucks.

84,000 points dad. Have you renewed your passport yet?

    • +44

It’s in the title daddy. If you want it in AUD conversion then it’s 1:1cent which equals $840. Hope that helps

      • That what I was after. Cheers

      • +1

According to this points start at 5.6c per point down to 2.7c depending on how many you buy.
So based on that, it equates to a range of $2268-$4704.

        • buying and selling prices on points have a large spread

      • +7

1 point to 1.4 cents in the classifieds so $1176. Hasn't been 1:1 for a long time.

    • +15

      • +1

They'd rather you use your points elsewhere, rather than buying a seat on a flight.

      • That's Bonza. They dug a hole for themselves.

    • Sir and/or Madame, please kindly observe the tuck elbows light in future to avoid damaging Qantas property with your oversized elbows. Thaaaaaaaanks 💅

Not available for WA, entering postcode 6000 for estimated delivery date returns "Sorry, this product is unable to be delivered to your selected postcode."
edit: you'd think Qantas can just fly it over here…

    • +1

It's ridiculous eh. I'm an aviation geek and would have loved to get one of these.

      Pathetic.

      • +2

How would they have gotten it her…
Yeah a bit rude eh, I'd have impulse purchases this for sure.

        • +3

It does say no overseas shipping.

On a visit to the ol' USSR in the 1990's a mate of mine bought a full fighter pilot pressure suit, helmet and G-suit for a few hundred dollar.

        Perfect for your MiG-21 ;-)

        • Could have bought the Mig as well…

  • +10

    but why?

    • +3

      because!

    • +20

There are plenty of aviation enthusiasts that would love this.

Or maybe for couples/throuples who want to do some airline attendant role play?

      • +27

"Sorry we have run out of the red wine, is there anything else you'd like?"

      • 787s maybe, Ansett maybe, but the generic 737s? Its pretty meh.

I've been looking for something to ram the elbows and knees of my house-guests with, this is perfect.

  • +1

What is this actually going to be useful for?

    • +19

I have no idea, but I dont even want one for free.

    • +7

So you can run over people's foot.

      • +1

My free to air TV reception has been fantastic since I plugged mine in.

  • +22

I’m waiting till they have a clearance on their Boeing planes. Hoping to snag a bargain then.

    • +30

Don't forget a pack of M10 bolts from Bunnings on your way to collect

      • +5

Be careful about saying bad things about Boeing - their whistleblowers tend to meet with "unfortunate accidents".

        • +5

If you don’t hear from me again, you can have all my eneloops and Halo down jacket.

  • Do the doors and wheels fall off like the planes?

    • +3

No this is from when Boeing cared about safety.

      • Although half a chance these galley carts are supplied by another manufacturer like Safran.

  • +5

Got tons of QFF points but no intention to fly with the airline but this honestly does look handy for a tinkerer/3D printing enthusiast like me so what the hell, pulled the trigger.

    • Unless you're gold or platinum the reward seat offerings have been atrocious lately.

I was lucky enough to get business class seats post COVID but now that things have picked up again I find it even difficult to find economy seats that aren't with Jetstar. Shakes fist

      • Gold doesn’t make a difference.
Even platinum I’ve been hearing it’s near impossible to get J/F reward seats release when Intl Sale fares are available

  • +12

Saved 84000 pointless points by living in WA

  • +5

The one I got back during COVID lockdown was fully stocked and came with far more goodies. These are not. Not worth it IMO.

I am a huge aviation geek so having the cart in my man cave was a huge win for me.

  • +15

Perfect timing. I'm starting my own Australian airline. I'm launching with the name Bonzo. Wish me luck. $7.99 fares from Sydney to Perth. Limited to 100 million seat sale.

  • Would 84,000 points still be worth $840?

  • +2

use case for this: people who do not have much space in the kitchen. seeing this reminded me of the below video:

  • +7

Banged up old airline cart from a terrible airline filled with coke, baby water bottles and bowlers run quality wine

Yer mate, tell em their dreaming

Qantas will be stripping the old 737s and flogging them off next

  • Even if it came with a Qantas stewardess I wouldn't spend 84,000 points on it.

    • +1

That's the point that I would probably consider it. I need someone to do house chores

      • +11

I already tried, but sent the stewardess back for a refund. All they did was ask if I had any rubbish while I was trying to watch TV, and kept telling me to put my bag under the seat. And I got nothing but pre-heated meals for dinner.

        • No cooking and no dishes. And I don't watch tv or have a hand bag. I'd deal with it.

          • @justtoreply: your avg. Qantas stewardess is mutton dressed as lamb tbh

            source: used to work there

  • +1

    Ughhhh rather donate to charity

  • +1

Why are these so sought after? Is it just AV geeks wanting parts of planes to decorate their home that want these?

    • +2

it's because there are far more AV geeks than the carts available for sale

  • No delivery to my postcode

  • +1

be careful its a Boeing it might break apart

  • +2

I can already smell the yucky food even just by looking at this thing.

  • Will this fit my 747?

    • +2

Sorry doesn't fit your 747 1:1000 model aircraft

  • +8

    This is worthless trash…

    • +1

Scrap aluminium is about $2/kg, so it's worthful trash.

  • +3

Getting in before jv… How much are these normally?

    • +7

Instructions unclear. Emphasised the wrong word

      • +1

        You are correct. My apologies.

  • collecting rubbish

  • +1

    Thanks, bought 3

  • -1

they should be giving us QFF points to help them clear their trash.

    Qantas - the NERVE.

  • +2

Not going to fit in my plane sadly.

  • wtf

  • Just what I need to cosplay as a stewardess. Now all I need is a dress.

  • +1

Is this a late aprils fool joke?

  • The fully stocked cart appears to have at least $1,000 of booze. Too bad I'm not an alcoholic or planning on holding a wedding.

  • +1

    Qantas are the ultimate tightarses

  • People might be wondering just who would buy this, but remember there are many airline/aircraft nerds out there. Just go to your local airport and you'll see half a dozen or more, any time of day, watching planes take off and land.
