    Windows 11 on a 7700? Do tell…

    • Yes, it's possible if you just bypass the requirements.

    • not too hard to put on older machines, google is your friend

      • Could work on a Pentium i'm fairly sure, you'd just really want to use a computer to use it.

This PC is my daily driver. Had to do the workaround method to get W11 running.
Also added a rx550 low profile card for low end gaming. Never had any issues with the set-up and runs quite fast with the SSD

  • What kind of games do you run?

This is a $150 computer at best when we see 8th Gen PC's hitting at the $200 mark.
Edited: Or 10th Gen for $330

    • Got an HP Elitedesk 800 G4 SFF from facebook for $100 last week.

      8th Gen i5 8500, 8gb ram, Radeon R7 240, 250gb ssd.

Most sellers want 150ish for it but can be bargained for $100. Wonder where they are all sourcing these from?

First, OP I think you've listed the wrong model.
The G4 only came with 8000 series, or various 'gold' celerons and such.

This looks like it's a G3, which makes the deal a little expensive.

    At the right price though:

These are good starter home servers too.
They have an 80+ Platinum PSU.
There is an unpopulated SATA port, so if you remove the DVD drive, you can make a nice compact 5TB RAID1 NAS (5TB iirc is the largest 2.5" drives come in).

Yes, they're SMR, but thats not a horrid thing when it's Raid1 (you will still record huge speed drops, but you'll still saturate GbE).

It can officially take ONE 3.5", but I've not tried for 2.

Plus, they're not so small that there's a whiney fan if you ask it to do work.
