does this have "Recall" installed? i always forget to save few videos i watch at night 😝

  • humm. are these arm or X86?

  • The new version will be out in a few months.

    • Yeah Intel FTW

  • I've always been really interested in the concept of these. I used to be obsessed with my iPad for work and home and think these would be a good upgrade to something that functions the same but is capable or more.

Also, do these come with the keyboard and stylus these days?

    • They are normally sold separately

I love how these function as tablets but it's a desktop OS. iOS and Android are nice, but there are tasks that I rather have a desktop OS for and this is where Surface shines.

Occasionally, there are deals that comes with a keyboard.

I have an M1 ipad pro 12.9 and SP 11 elite. The elite is much more felxible software wise but not as polished. The SP11 is much gaster than any previous Surface device (i had a few). Overall it is enjoyable to use. If you only want one device which is a tablet and can be a proper computer than it is a solid choice

    $1 cheaper at Microsoft directly:

And potential to stack with AMEX deals:

Personally I am intrigued by these Snapdragon X processors; Apple are pushing developers to redesign their apps for ARM after their M1/2/3/4 processors gained traction, so that might actually help these ARM based Windows laptops take off, but who knows if these Snapdragon processors will survive long.

    • jeez, that looks actually quite reasonable price - whats the physical condition on these ones like usually?

surface pro keyboard with slim pen in black only is available for $202.99 as an add on too… looks reasonable?

    • I think that's the US site?

      • Oh no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been eying this for like 3 weeks!

        Thanks for correcting, Maxi!

        • haha i did think it was weird such a price difference especially for the keyboard!

        • So $972 is in USD? πŸ€” Travelling to US soon but for that price, it's not far from the price of a brand new one I think.

          • @ChairmanMeow: Converts to $1,559.52 AUD. Cheapest I can see listed on OzBargin was $1624.00 in November :-)

            • @Bitebi: Don't forget US price listings are pre-GST… So for my case, my parents living in Massachusetts and getting it delivered there would be US$1073 :'-)

  • To bad it comes with copilot

Yeah I’m looking at an upgrade for our old, old Surface Pro 2 couch tablet. Will not be going with any Snapdragon X machines as I’m not doing Copilot+ with a ten foot pole. Looking at iPad, Lenovo Yoga 7i 14” or HP Spectre X360, the latter two around $1800-2k with 2.7K OLED screens. Will try install Linux on it (if not going iPad). Trouble with iPad is iPadOS is really a mobile OS so it’s not great for Office or anything.

  • It was $1598 just a couple of months ago, this is not a deal at all
