ITX Ryzen 5 5600G Home/Office/Light Gaming PC with A520 AC MB, 16GB RAM, 500GB NVMe: $448 + Delivery @ TechFast

5600G-ITX-EOFY

Hi folks,

We've managed to secure the very well-featured Gigabyte A520I AC ITX board in good numbers so can finally offer a cracking AM4 ITX build in the Leaper-I.

It's the same price as a popular competitor deal in MATX at $448, with the added bonus of the ITX form factor and high quality aluminium case.

If there is demand, we can look at a variant with a GPU - it's a tight fit but with a one fan card but…well…you know…we can make it work…

A reminder that all TechFast PCs are:

  • Unmatched in terms of value, $ per frame, bang for buck - you name it, it does not get cheaper
  • Fully professionally built and stress tested
  • Provided by the most active and committed OzB PC builder for 5+ years - we are here to stay while many others have come and gone, leaving Ozbargainers in the lurch
  • Plug and play with all drivers installed, no matter which OS you select
  • Fully supported by a local team via email and here on Ozbargain
  • Fully insured for transit at no extra cost
  • Fully warranted with transit covered both ways in the event of warrantable faults

Did i just get rickrolled by Hawk Tuah

  • whats the max sort of gpu this 400w built in psu can support? 6700xt? looking for something budget tier 2nd hand 1080ti/2070S maybe for $200aud fb marketplace

    • It has to be a single fan ITX card to fit in the case. We have used with RTX 4060 with no issues.

      • how much is it to add on?

        • We're not offering it on this one - if there is interest I would create another config. We have this one with a 12400F and 4060 live now though.

          • +1

@luketechfast: The onboard wifi of the gigabyte board is a bit of a drawcard with a GPU compared to the 12400f deal. Especially in an ITX build.

Im not a massive fan of usb dongles. Although my experience dates back 10 years so maybe they are better

            • @Fergy1987: Fair enough. There's a pretty good chance of a 4060 version once we confirm ITX card availability.

              • @luketechfast: Hi, do you know roughly what the price will be if you choose to have a 4060 version on this one in the not so distant future?

          • @luketechfast: Add the asus board as an option again and ypu got a deal ^_^

            • @Awsam: Find an ITX AM4 Asus board and you've got a deal!

              • +1

@luketechfast: Zephyr just released a dual slot, single fan 4070 at just 172mm long. We need to see a 7500f + 4070 in this thing. PSU should just about cover it.

          • @luketechfast: would love this with the 4060, something similar to the previous $718 5500, WiFi mobos are a big selling point tbh

  • Recommended graphic card for Resident Evil 4 Remake at 1080P?

  • Thinking about this as a DIY NAS, but can't seem to find how many 3.5" internal bays there are in the case. Anyone know?

    • +2

It's an itx case with a mboard, cpu and cooler. I do not imagine there is much free space at all, let alone for hdd bays.

  • @luketechfast: Will it come with the PCI riser cable to DIY our own GPUs?

    • It does, yep

      • which gen?

        • +1

          3, same as mobo

  • Any pics of the internals? I just want to understand the layout

    • +4

This is one of the 12400F-4060 builds shipping today - the motherboard is on one side of the internal frame with the cables tucked to the left, a graphics card via the riser would be on the other side. Airflow is unobstructed both sides as both side panels are ventilated.

      • Will it fit a ‎202mm gpu? (Evga 3060ti)

        • The whole case is only 200mm long so limit is probably around 190~194mm

      • OMG that is so cute!

  • +2

Could this drive 2x 4K monitors (web browsing and word doc only)?

    • Mobo specs say 2x HDMI 2.1, and iGPU itself should support it. So should be a yes.

    • I can't see why not - the motherboard clearly states 3 outputs and the max resolutions and all are 4K or above. 2 x HDMI and 1 x DP.

I've installed several 5600G / dual monitor setups for customers and never had any issues and they run 24/7 only being rebooted after each monthly MS security updates.

In fairness they're normally using 1080 24 or 27" monitors for office environments but I'm certain 2 x 4K will be the same. I generally prefer to use HDMI rather than DP FWIW.

  • How loud is the PSU? I want to use one as a htpc and concerned that the flex PSU will be too loud.

    • It is not loud, but by no means designed to be a quiet system overall, due largely to the ventilation holes directly either side and top.

      • Thanks Luke. So generally speaking the system is audible when idle in a quiet room?

        • Can confirm this is the case - as I got it for my cousin

  • Hi Luke, not to diss on this awesome deal. Anychance you guys can create a powerfull mini itx like this? I would rather buy it from you guys as i have bought from you guys before. My 4 year old PC is still going strong. Looking to upgrade as it is kinda lacking power on 4k stuff.

    • +3

Thanks for the kind words and support - we are looking at more broadly flexible/functional ITX cases but they're not a short term thing. No timeline just now but it is being worked on.

  • Cool price. Would the PSU be a modified delta DPS400? Seems about correct for this price point, I've tested that one up to a 2070/3060ti.

  • any plans for more EOFY build deals?

  • I might consider this for my WFH daily driver running Mint. Great price. Does anybody have any idea how it'd go running a Windows VM in VirtualBox if I needed?

    • The CPU is certainly capable enough. Storage might be a bigger issue, as the main drive is only 500GB.
So you'd need to install another drive… as per earlier comments, it won't fit a 3.5" drive, case should be big enough for one (or more?) SSDs (mobo has 4 SSD connections)
More memory would also help then… guess you can run Mint and Windows on 16GB, but then it depends on what you want to run in Windows itself.

  • Sharp pricing. That's a lot of computer for the pricing —- remember it includes setup and warranty.

  • -3

    The case is very plain.

    • This whole system is cheaper than some mini ITX cases.

  • +1

Why advertise for more business when you can’t fulfil current orders? 32 business days and counting and computer still isn’t dispatched. Extremely poor communication (1-2 days waiting for response) with sometimes no response. You may be the cheapest out there but what’s the point if you’re not contactable for any ongoing warranty issues.

    • Wow 32 business days? That's over 6 weeks!

      • Yeah mate and I’ve other friends waiting similar with techslow. Absolutely avoid this company

    • Yep, only got my dispatch email today after a month. There was no contact at all from TechSlow about the hold up but people updated me after I asked in the previous thread. I can only imagine how a warranty claim will go. Taking orders, then finding the stock they've sold is honestly pretty poor. Pretty sure the entire business model is post on ozbargain > take payment and go silent > secure stock > send out and repeat.

I would LOVE to know what percentage of sales come from here. Haven't even received the PC and I already know I won't be buying from them again because of the lack of communication

    • I'd like to look into this one as something can't be right here. Can you send me some order details?

    • +3

I checked with the team (we matched Ozb username with order details) as I wasn't across the customised nature of this order. According to the order in our system, today is business day 22.

The Corsair case and accessories you requested we ordered in, but needed a final RGB adapter to make the single rear fan work that did not come with any of that, so that too had to be ordered in afterwards. The system has been fully stress tested for a number of days just waiting on that controller, which is expected this week. This is definitely a regrettable situation, and an indication of why we don't generally accept custom orders, as it's not what we're setup to do. But given we said yes, it is what it is, and I apologise on behalf of the team.

But, it's not representative of the majority of orders; in fact it is a distinct outlier.

      • seems like lack of communication and taken more orders than they can handle.

  • -1

Re having one with a GPU: how about one with an empty GPU slot? I need somewhere to park a 3070.

  • Does the PSU have 2x PCIe 6+2 ?

    • No

      • Assuming it has 1x 6+2 ?

Only single fan cards fit ?

      • ?

        • +1

Correct yep, sorry I have been off sick.

  • +1

Quite nice - but would agree that waiting for GPU bundle is better for those who are migrating from laptops. Also, an option to add an extra storage? I tend to find I hoard a lot and would like an option for another drive. What's the overall weight of the system? Not too heavy - ITX suppose to be portable, not a workout.

  • Upvote purely for an ITX build offer!

  • +1

I wish you’d use this case and similar in better builds.

Lots of people don’t want see through glass junk.

    • You don't want a tacky chinese disco to match your premium deluxe rgb wireless keyboard?

    • You can easily get a very cheap film from amazon and cover it up. I have one on order actually…. Hate the RGB.

  • What are the power consumption numbers like? Iim curious how it compares to mini PCs which use laptops components. Especially at idle, for if this was used as an always on server.

  • Hi Luke,
How are build times going currently?
I've hit 10 business days today but no updates yet. Was hoping to receive it for my sons birthday but may be cutting it close!
    Order #TF4895530799

    Thanks

    • Sorry, was off sick but can see this shipped yesterday for you.

  • Also just hit 10 business days - TF4895122420
Sent a message to support asking for an update but if I can get any updates here sooner it would be appreciated.
Guessing with EOFY Sales its a busy time, but should update your timeframes accordingly if you know they are going to blow out.
    Thanks

    • Sorry, was off sick yesterday. I can see your order is In Build now.

  • how much for the variant with a GPU? I'm definitely interested.

    • +1

We'll look into it for the next deal. Working on fulfilment full bore at the moment.

      • fair.

appreciate the heads up, and the volume of communication btw. cheers for taking the time.

  • Can I buy this without the GPU… Love to get this built and just add in my 3070.

    • This thing doesn't have one - it is integrated graphics only!

    • Only full builds at this stage

  • Hi @luketechfast, I put through an order #TF4897384804 recently for an i5-12400f 4060 itx build, just noticed that it doesnt have onboard wifi nor any option to install using wifi card, any chance I can change it to this order to customised the mobo into an on board wifi one? Cheers

  • Hi @luketechfast, just want to know what cables the PSU has available?
