    Tried to apply it to a regular Uber account… it added the 4-months U1 but once that was done GRU is not valid promotion code.

    The promo code didn't work in the Uber Eats App for me, says not valid or something. So I went on desktop and put in the code and the promo box automatically closed. I tried again and it says I can't claim it twice. Couldn't find the confirmation on desktop at all but when I went back to the App, confirmation is in the Uber One tab. All very confusing, but finally got it, I hope…Have to wait for email now.

      no, not yet. as per the confirmation message after successfully claiming, it will take 24-48 hours. so maybe ask after 24 hours at least.

      Try this:
      1. Open the Uber app
      2. Go to Account > Payment > Promotions (it's near the bottom of Payment screen)
      3. Enter the promo code: GRU

      What's wrong with 13k tickets? Clicks meaning nothing, probably only half of them are doing this deal. You know how nanny cinemas there even are and how many seats and sessions over the course of 1 month?

      I eventually got it to work have 4 phones and got my partners phone, you just need to activate the 4 mot nd free trial and never joined uber one before, and takes 24-48hours to have the tickets emailed just got mine pretty simple, gonna share my other 6 tickets with some friends.

  • If anyone not getting their tickets, go on uber Facebook main wall and complain, they will send out tickets faster, just mentioned your email or phone number, looks like uber app has a glitch and some are not getting tickets, you all should be getting tickets as long U apply for the 4 month trial and code very simple process.

    Claimed the promo code in Ubers app last night around 6:08pm. Received an email this morning 10:31am that says:
    "Your tickets are on their way!
    Congratulations on claiming your exclusive double pass to Illumination's Despicable Me 4 at HOYTS cinemas.
    You'll receive your tickets via email in the next 24-48 hours."
    Now I wait for the tickets email.

  • For people that have received the email, are the tickets in the account holder's name, or are they just promo codes to claim two free tickets on the Hoyts website?
    Trying to claim them for a friend.

    • I don't think any cinema would ever check your ID for anything even if your name is there.

      The tickets are printable (and looks like a normal voucher with no names) can be claimed by anyone but only for Despicable Me 4 sessions as they are not the usual general admission tickets (I did try to claim it for another movie session but it was invalid) - also not valid on Saturdays/Sundays after 2pm.

      • Would have been great if it was generic like similar deals.
