        Legend! Contacted them overnight- code went through on Uber (not UE) but didn't get e-mail. Dropped a message back on Messenger and they sent direct download links to the tickets (also received 2x double passes, 4 tickets in total).

          To be able to redeem the GRU promo code, did you have to be just an uber/uber eats exisiting member? I did the promo for 4 months but the code doesnt work. I wasn't an uber one member before

      • I messaged on sunday night, however have not had any response through messenger. Your link is for the standard uber australia account correct? Then you click on message and you message there yhrough your messenger? Thats what i did, but no response at all.
        The help button in the app doesnt take you to fill out a form to get help from the support team. I had to go on my desktop to find that option. Then they get back to me with the exact same instructions others have already listed and the terms and conditions - which i fulfil. I have no idea why they wont help me :-(

        • Yep, that is what I did. Might need to give them a nudge as it sounds like they received your message outside of business hours.

  • Voucher is valid until end of Aug. What happens if movie is taken down before that time?

    • From conditions of use: "Vouchers are valid for use until 11.59pm AEST on 31 August 2024, or when the film stops screening at HOYTS, whichever comes sooner". I'd recommend going by mid-August, as there's still sessions to book online then.

  • I signed up on the Uber App and only got a 4 weeks trial on a new account and couldn’t use the code until I used the uber eats website.

    • The 4 months trial shows up in one of those promotional banners on the home page

  • They are motion recliners a bit similar to 4dx seats at Events.
    Normally prices are a lot higher, however until 30/6 Sunday movie sessions before midday are standard /$10 Extreme Screen/$15 Dbox/$18.

    If anyone didn't receive the email with the tickets check your uber eats app, I found an option in the food section that says claim your tickets and it downloads to your phone

      It worked but it looks like a fix for people like us who didn t receive the emails but looks like it applies to everyone. My family got it from the original emails, then another one from the ubereats banner.

      Can confirm, scroll down the restaurants a lil till you see your promos (Uber rides etc), and it'll show.

      Downloads the same tix as were originally emailed, for those who have been emailed tix

      Did you check if they're already available download in the Uber Eats app per comments just above? From the home page, scroll down a little bit. Under the "National brands" section and above the "Today's offers" section there is a section that has promos. I found the link to download tickets from there.

      I would also try to ask on facebook messenger, I know some people have said they just provided generic copy/paste but you might get someone who is understanding in the urgency that you want to use the tickets tonight.

  • Got an email 9 days ago telling me tickets will be sent in 24-48 hours but nothing since and nothing I can see in the app except saying I have claimed it no where to download anything.

  • Had the tickets pop up in app, family went to use them today and get a "Sorry, we couldn't find that voucher. Please check the details and try again." error. Fun times!

    • Was it during Sat/Sun from 2pm or a public holiday? Because the tickets are not valid for those days and time.

      • Nah tried different Hoyts, different states, different times haha, just doesn't seem to wanna work, curious to see if they've accidentally sent doubles along the way to people and it's been used already

        Alternatively, do you think I will try to redeem it online to see whether it is working or not, but don't go ahead, so my friend can then use them at the cinema?

              If its valid, can be scanned at the ticket counter and save $1.50 per voucher

    Just to follow on from my previous comment

    Hoyts Support got back to me and confirmed the vouchers that appeared in mine and another family members Uber accounts had already been redeemed

    Since we are in Perth this definitely wasn't us

    Either some has cracked the incredibly easy code for the voucher numbers or Uber screwed up sending multiples to people. Either way, if you're planning on using your vouchers I suggest booking ASAP!

        • I ran into the same problem, messaged Uber via Facebook Messenger and they sent me a PDF link with the new tickets. I managed to go straight in and redeem these new ones.

      Those people would had to cracked the PIN also. So it's more likely the second scenario that you described has happened, that Uber sent the same vouchers to multiple people. That's terrible.

    Looking to book for Sunday next week 14th but looks like there is only 1 session no matter which cinema I pick. I'm in canberra but also tried Melbourne CBD and same thing. Heaps of sessions this weekend tho.

  • I click on the link, then the join uber one link. When it goes to the next page and the app is open it asks me to pay for uber one. It doesnt give an option to not pay.
    Is this deal over?
    I really wanted the tix!

      • Maybe a long time ago.. however, this deal was for existing and new customers

        • The double pass is for existing or new customers, not the 4 months free trial.

          • @CodeXD: So if you've had an uber one trial in the past, you cant get this deal?

            • @kimba88: If you've had an uber one trial in the past, you need to pay to sign up to Uber One.

              Once signed up, you should be able to redeem the code and get the double pass.

              I already have Uber One free from Westpac credit card, so the code worked for me.

              • @CodeXD: Thank you. I just got 4 months free through westpac thanks to you.. but now the link to claiming the vouchers wont work. I tried typing GRU in the wallet and promotions, however, it didnt work 😭
