On sale for a low price is the 2024 revision of the previously popular Teclast T50 that sold for around A$100 more a year ago. The main differences are that the Android version has been bumped up to 13 and storage doubled at 256GB. This one is good enough for general use, light gaming + emulation and media playback.

While this does have Widevine L1 DRM it's likely that Netflix HD won't work. For reviews Techtablets covered the older Teclast T50 with Android 12 and less storage.

Featuring Android 13 with Google Play, 11" 2000x1200 350nits IPS display, 8GB RAM, 256GB UFS storage (microSD support), UNISOC T616 Octa-core CPU, 7500mAh battery with 18W USB-C PD fast charge, 4G LTE with dual SIM, 20MP Sony rear camera, 8MP Sony front camera, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.0, FM Radio, GPS, quad speakers and 2 mics.

Teclast T60 2024 (12" 2K, Android 14, 8GB/256GB, Widevine L1, 4G) US$120.37 (~A$182.52) Delivered

In addition to the 11" Teclast T50 is the larger 12" T60 if you're wanting something that's bigger with a few extra features. This includes Android 14, a larger screen, larger battery, better speakers and Widevine L1 DRM that offers Netflix HD. Pretty much all other features, i.e. CPU, RAM and storage remain the same.

Like the T50 this is good for media playback, general use, light gaming and emulation. A comparison of both can be found below.

How to get the AU$ price in the title with PayPal:

Setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion results in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Now you'll get the correct MasterCard or VISA exchange rate depending on the card.

UNISOC T616 is getting pretty long in the tooth.

This… Spend a bit more for something with Helio G99 if you're after a budget tablet from AliExpress.

      • Any suggested/standout tablets?

Alldocube iPlay50 Pro Max for US$122.25 with the same coupon in this deal. Previous deal with info/comments.

          • @Clear: Do these recieve even 2 years worth of proper bug free updates? Or we should just assume stock OS for life for the cheap price they are offered yet.

@[Deactivated]: Assume stock OS. The last and Alldocube occasionally do security updates.

  • just me but i prefer double the ram and half the storage

  • Thinking of setting these up as digital photo frames

    Anyone got experience with that?

  • Hey @Clear,

This deal: seems to have come back.
Has the listing changed in someway that I can't see? I recall this one being a decent option.
In my cart I was able to get it down to USD $122 and the coupon code 24SS12 may possibly have been involved.

Same listing as before and 24SS12 has brought it down to US$122.05. It's good value
