Quite a good price on this Android tablet if you're after something on a budget that'll handle a bit of gaming, media playback and general usage. This is thanks to the MediaTek Helio G99 that outperforms the UNISOC CPUs found in other budget tablets, as well as the 8GB of RAM and the 256GB of storage.

Featuring Android 13 with Google Play, 10.4" IPS 2000x1200 IPS display, 8GB RAM, 256GB UFS 2.1 storage (microSD support up to 2TB), MediaTek Helio G99 Octa-core CPU, 6000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, USB-C, 4G LTE with B28 & Dual SIM, 5MP front camera, 8MP rear camera, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, dual speakers and GPS.

The main downside of this tablet is that there's no Widevine L1 DRM for people who care about having Netflix HD. This tablet is the same as the original iPlay 50 Pro except with a newer version of Android and storage bumped up to 256GB.

Waiting for other people feedback before buying. Price seems right

Old mate at Techtablets has done a review on the older iPlay 50 Pro and his only complaints were no Widevine L1 (mentioned in this deal), no Android 13 (Pro Max has this) and that the screen should be brighter (budget tablets aren't OLED lol).

    • Have had no issue with my older iplay 50. Solid HASS dashboard.

    • Not sure about this specific version but multiple versions of the iplays have touch input issues. Usually pops up after a few months of use. When the screen is on after a while, it stops responding to touch unless you lock and unlock. It is a relatively simple fix but you do need to open it up and apply some tape (not like you can count on China warranty anyway). I'm also having flickering charge issues.

    • I have iplay 50 mini pro nfe which is same tablet as this one but smaller,
      bad things
no fingerprint sensor, no auto brightness no 5G, no gyroscope ( doesn't work with rotaeno game ), Speakers are ass

everything else is perfectly fine. It can play any games granted on low/medium 30fps for heavy games. UI is kinda hit or miss, i bought nova laucher and an icon pack for 7$ which pretty much fixed it.
There are reports of ghost touches, I didn't face any on mine, I play rhythm game on a regular basis and I haven't missed any notes of misclick or ghost touch.
Excellent ram management, app stay open in the background even if i log off for like 3 hours which isnt the case with my samsung phone which is supposed to be more powerful

  • I looked at this, and seemed very legit for the price. One thing I didnt like was the mono speaker.

Was very tempted but ended up with the y700.

If I was to replace my dads tablet, Id just get him this

    • I looked at this, and seemed very legit for the price. One thing I didnt like was the mono speaker.

I don't think you were looking at this tablet then. It has two stereo speakers. Perhaps you were looking at the smaller 8" iPlay 50 Mini series?

      • oh true, yes I think you are right

  • Any accessories we should be looking at grabbing at the same time, doesn't look like it comes with a cover.

It does come with the standard folio type case.

  • It's effectively a bit faster iPlay 50

I've been using an iPlay 50 for work related tasks, 3 days per week for 4-6 hours of continuous use, no issues.

For personal use I'd much rather get an iPad, much nicer screen, better build quality, nonzero resell value. If you are really strapped for money and just want to check email, take notes, iPlay 50 and its variants are fine

  • I have the older version & wanted to use it as a car head unit, but the GPS software/hardware in it is absolute garbage. It spends the first 2-10 minutes of every drive without a GPS lock.

  • I bought the 8" version. Very happy with it. It's no iPad mini but for a fraction of the price it does the job for the kids.

  • Hi Clear, any deals on a 12" or larger tablets? thanks 👍
