  • Random question but how much electricity would this use compared to my HP PC I use 24/7 as my media PC. Basically its a i7 8700 with a radeon rs 6400?

    https://www.untech.com.au/products/hp-elitedesk-800-g4-sff-d…

I'm guessing a fair bit more, even running with screen closed? or same same?

    • +3

Pretty sure it would use less

  • +1

I actually saw this deal last night but the price just too good to be true … and saw delivery is December, I HODL …

    • on the check out page, says 10-15 days

      • with prime

    • for me, It worth to wait.

  • +9

Has to be a price error - way too cheap

  • +2

    Reviews look fake

    • How? All verified purchases. But yes, they do look odd.

  • +2

Damn, OOS! Would have bought too, nice find!

  • +4

Nooo this was the perfect laptop for me (good processor, graphics, screen size etc) and its gone after 30 minutes…

  • +3

    Ozbargain'd

  • -4

    Don't fret.
Gerry Harvey will have better deals soon enough.

    • +3

I'll eat my hat if Harvey W@nker ever comes close to this.

  • +25

People nitpicking the smallest things for a laptop with these specs at this price are seriously delusional.

    • +3

“Oh no, the hue of blue in the RGB keyboard is a little off. It throws a hint of red and I just can’t stand it.”

      • +2

"oh no! It's an i9! I prefer i7 but for the price it's okay.."

  • I feel it may be items from this seller piggybacking on the asin? I've ordered this, and I'm definitely going to opening it to check what upgrades were done. Likely to be junk parts.

  • +1

Damn that's a good deal. Good work to anyone who managed to get one. My old lenovo gaming machine is about 5 years old now and would have been the perfect replacement.

  • Great deal! Bought one similar (7745HX + upgrades) with CR and sale for under 2k last year.

  • -1

Can we do credit card purchase price protection on these deals that go out of stock?

  • Great price!

    • +2

Why would this be so cheap? It's a beast for a thousand bucks.

  • +7

83FS000CFR is the item number/product code. Looks like someone screwed up.

    • Yes you are right, item number spec search is just a damn stupid V15 model !!! Phew so lucky i didnt jump in last night, otherwise my heart can't have 2nd time attack since that last Scorptec TUF 4060 deal !!!

  • +4

Reading comments of people that actually think this is a genuine deal and someone "got it"

The only thing they'll get is a cancellation email 🤦

  • +1

dang it, rotting in bed cost me the deal of the century :,(

    • +1

Nah, saved you $$$ on something you likely didnt need!!

    • +1

No one got theirs yet, and some links coming to light show you may not get the laptop you ordered, but something more much the price range.

  • Yeah I'm not sure about this one, product code links here
    https://www.ldlc.com/en/product/PB00592103.html

More in line with the advertised price but good luck I guess, Amazon is likely thankful for the interest free loan

    • Also people complaining about x and y on a price error, OzBargain has really rotted some of your minds

    • +1

You would be correct, will be mailed a lemon, and have to send it back:

      https://www.amazon.eg/product-reviews/B0CDTTZGXD/ref=acr_dpx…

      • In the past people have been lucky with Amazon on getting them to eventually ship out the advertised product months later that was also for a price error from international Amazon seller, but that was maybe a $200 price error, this is obviously a lot larger

  • This won't be topped for at least 12 months I'd say.

  • Wow this is incredibly cheap

  • +4

Lol all the idiots saying they want something more at this price are genuinely making me laugh. This was an INSANE price. I would've bought one just because if I had seen it before it sold out.

  • is this even a obtainable deal? or is the seller dodgy….

    • Looks dodgy to me

  • Shows back in stock as of 1:11pm.

    • long dispatch time though….

    • Nope. Can't add to cart.

Did anybody actually order one lol?

  • Way too cheap for what it is… I'd be a little dubious…

    • OzB snoopers above found the product link provided on the listing leads to a Lenovo V15 G4 IAH (83FS000CFR)

    • Yeh I cancelled my order. The possibility of scam seems highly likely and I have better things to do than to dispute with Amazon. And if it's legit oh well I missed out on a good price on a laptop I don't really need

      • Good news, everyone was cancelled lol

  • That is the best deal i have seen in 3 years since the lenovo 3060 deal for $999

  • Damn I missed it & I’ve been waiting for a deal exactly like this. I would’ve taken the risk and if I didn’t like it just cop the return to Amazon with the potential of getting sent something decent.

  • There's a good chance if it's sold via Amazon DE that it's got a QWERTZ or AZERTY (non-US QWERTY) keyboard. I've specifically never bought laptops/keyboards via Amazon EU/UK unless they specifically state the keyboard layout (even UK layout is different to AU/US).

    • Please don't quote me on this, what you receive may be different

If you zoom into the image, it looks like it's QWERTYUIOP

What you receive may be different though…

      • Pretty sure it does as you would've learned to touch type on a QWERTY keyboard but if this is AZERTY then your fingers would consistently go to the wrong keys.

        • No because you can set the kb layout in windows correctly.

          • @CVonC: But the physical key will still be in the wrong spot.

            • @khrome: Just change the label if you really need it.

        • Yes, you're right. Feeling very stupid right now. But can't you change the keyboard input language in Windows?

          • @Mondorock: Yes you can but you can't change the physical location of the key. However if you touch type, then it wouldn't be a problem. So I guess you were sort of right.

    • +1

Keyboard layout can be changed easily in Windows. If you can touch type, then it's irrelevant what's actually printed on the keys themselves.

  • +1

Deal of the year IKEA dishwasher and this

  • Great deal if you don't mind the Germany keyboard layout which is:
    QWERTZUIOPü
    ASDFGHJKLöä
    YXCVBNM

    • Its French seller, AZERTY

    • +1

Just get alphabet keyboard stickers from AliExpress

  • +1

Id love to know if anyone actually receives it. I tried ordering a really good deal from AMAZON DE.. didnt get it for 2 months.. than received thr wrong product.. had to Pay for the return and finally the package was "return to sender". 4 months of waiting..
    Its was an action camera.

    • Good advice. I got a conversation with Amazon support saying they'll provide a prepaid return label haha. Hopefully that helps.

      • +2

Only issue with these kind of return is you have to go to DHL not local post office. DHL drop off are far and apart.

      • Yaa.. Amazon did reimburse me, but than again.. it tiok 4 months to have this order refunded…

        • You shouldn’t have to pay postage if wrong item was sent. The return postage should be free.

    • Getting the wrong product is exactly what I expect to happen considering OzB snoopers above found the product link provided on the listing leads to a Lenovo V15 G4 IAH (83FS000CFR)

Pretty much the the price above in OP's post in euros.

  • Was a great price. Was looking at reviews this morning and it sold out while I did it. Probably for the best, I don't need one atm and when I do, I'd probably want a smaller one with ARM architecture anyway.

  • Added a reminder and prepared my popcorn…

  • 300 nits 👎

  • dang wish i saw this when it was posted i need a laptop

is there any other good deals on a laptop on amazon?

  • +4

Seriously, this is not good. Amazon Germany page for this item B0CDTTZGXD shows title Lenovo V15 G3/15.6FHD/i5-125H/8/256/W11P with the misleading picture.
    https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0CDTTZGXD

    Brand Lenovo
    Screen Size 16 Inches
    Colour Black
RAM memory installed size 8 GB
    Operating system Windows 10 Pro

Connectivity technology Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB, HDMI

    Dodgy Amazon

  • +1

Cancelled my order… didnt like the return policy about

Amazon.com.au Return Policy:You may return for a full refund for the price you paid within 30 days of delivery any new computer purchased from Amazon that is "dead on arrival", arrives in damaged condition or is still in unopened boxes.

Unopened boxes but they open the seal to "upgrade"

    • I wouldnt worry about that. That is more of a 'change of mind' policy. If you are sent an incorrect item, there would be no questions asked about a refund.

  • Not in the market for a new laptop but i am upset i missed out on this one.

    • +1

no need to upset, you will be more upset when you receive the wrong item (99% in this case) and going thru the painful process to return and get your money back

      • Went through this with an item from Japan. They sent me the wrong size (2 sizes too small) and it was an excruciating process with Amazon.

Luckily after a month or so they ended up refunding me and letting me keep the shoes, so i sold them haha

  • Hmm, not sure how a 4060 is meant to handle gaming in that resolution. 1080p is best for that card.

  • wao this deal is good! anyone have received and confirmed its a good deal?

    • Please read thru all the comments above and it is just a scam

      • But no one has gotten theirs yet to prove it?

We need some or a few peps to get their wrong laptop first before it can be confirmed, or a cancellation email.

        • If I receive the wrong laptop I'll see if Amazon will do what they did for me in a previous 4070Ti deal. Basically after receiving the wrong card I was able to get them to ship me the correct card even though it was a lot higher price.
          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/14873316/redir

          • @XeKayeM: I'll be keen to see the outcome, We rarely do see if these price error/shady source deals on incredible items actually happen

I doubt Amazon will do a replacement for the laptop brought, its a $2000 difference and international seller this time, a refund might be the best to hope for, and even then its not a speedy one.

  • Back in stock. Amazon added “import fees” to previous order and so they will charge $1276.67 once they dispatch my order.

New stock is Slightly higher price compared to old stock.

So it’s definitely not a price error.

    • Not a price error, just a straight-up wrong product.

      Orders have been cancelled.

  • did anybody get theirs yet

    • +1

      No. Waiting still.

    • +1

Some had a 10-14 day shipping time and some had shipping in December, so no.

  • +2

Order has been cancelled by Amazon Germany.
    Cancel Reason: Seller Cancelled

  • +1

    Order cancelled by seller.
