Thanks for thinking of me. Really wanted something that can manage at least 32GB of RAM. 16:10 display and more of a premium build would have been nice but you can't have everything.

      • 40GB is possible on this by swapping out the 8GB with a 32GB stick

This $900 deal supposedly lasts for another 10-11 days so there will be more deals in the coming days

Do you have an authoritative source for that? I did my own research and the most I saw claimed was 16GB in the slot by a memory seller. I suppose there would also be some performance hit by not being able to run dual channel RAM with mismatched sticks but I've no idea how significant it would be.

            Yes

            PBTech sell the 40GB variant

Centre Com also sell the IPS model in a 40GB variant

            • @Look Up: Thanks. Not a great review from the only PB Tech review though. I've also realised that I was overly swayed by the peak nits figure which would mean actual nits are lower. Would it be 400 nits on average?

  • imo you're porbably best off going for this one; much better specs value: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/877502

    • Performance of these laptops aside, how big of a difference would their displays be in terms of brightness/colour/contrast (not refresh rates)?

Would 400nits be a huge drop from the 600nits?

      • Meh not really

  • Price drop to $916 ($893.10 eBay Plus)
