DISKAD (Rebranded Bosch Series 6/8) Integrated Dishwasher $319 ($287 IKEA Family Price) + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ IKEA In-store Only

4150

Not sure if this is price error, but regular price wasn't $319 from vague memory. Google search shows as $1599.

Manufacturer number for this product is 23320, which is made by Bosch as per Ikea Belgium website.

Not sure about specific model, but Bosch only makes fully integrated dishwasher for series 6 and 8, which cost $1000 and up.

Deactivated user mentioned it's similar to Series 8 SMV88TX02A

tonester mentioned "IKEA integrated PROFFSIG and DISKAD are rebranded Series 6 and 8 respectively"

        • I'm going off my memory here but I didn't think the screw holes were that high up?

It was slightly below where the cutler tray is located. I could still screw it in without taking the tray out but obviously easier with it out.

          • @keejoonc: All good guess this might just be a case of them forgetting to put a reference link like they did on some of the other pages.

    • The 2 bottom side screws (once you remove the side panels with blue tape) is for adjusting the door up and down if you cock up the measurements like i did. It was a life saver as I measured from the top of the adjacent cupboards but you are supposed to measure from the bottom of the kitchen countertop as it's engineered to drop the door 5mm to align with your cabinet doors. So always measure from the bottom of the countertop to get 'Measurement A' on the door panel instructions. You may have to use an alignment ruler with a water bubble to get the door perfectly straight again. I lifted the front panel 5 mm up and it's all sweet now.

    order cancelled again

  • Picked mine up click and collect from Perth today. Thanks OP!

    • How did you manage that? It's been been out of stock for a while

    • I've been trying for many days since my initial click and collect order was cancelled and refunded about 10 days ago. Have been unsuccessful with various attempts.
Was told it would be re-stocked in Perth today but still didnt manage to get one through Chat, Phone Call (multiple attempts at different time of the day) even though an agent had given me 'shopping list' yesterday.

How did you manage to get your order in for Perth??

      • I put in a delivery order about a week ago, and that sat processing for a while. Then with constant refreshing, I saw it back in stock on Sunday, but obly for click and collect, so placed another order.

Got a text yesterday that my delivery order was cancelled, but then received a text this morning saying my click and collect order was ready for collection!

Not sure how, i got very lucky!

        • Nice! Very lucky indeed, or IKEA just didn't want your delivery fee and wanted you to collect it yourself!

I saw it as available for Click and Collect the past week but the orders never went through. And on phone, they said WA has literally 0 stock and that online/app showing some available for click and collect is incorrect.

Feel like giving up on this!

          Good luck with yours!

          • @rademase: I have been calling and online chat 3 times a day since last week and have always been told there is no stock and stock may come in the next day. Yesterday they have mentioned there will be no stock coming in. I am close to giving up, not sure what else can be done.

            • @Kobe1027: I noticed in Richmond, they have 2 display models. Worth asking if you can reserve one of those when they take them out.

              • @cnut: I would but i'm located in Perth :(

                • @Kobe1027: Not familiar with Perth. Have they got a physical store there too?

                  • @cnut: Yeah we got 1 store here, tried everything in the book. Called, messaged and went in all without luck.

                    • @Kobe1027: Ask them for the floor stock. They’re bound to be taking those out from display and likely putting them in the returns/seconds/old stock section. See if you can snag it. Might even get a cheaper price.

                      • @cnut: Will try that later today.

                        Thanks!

  • Hey guys, anybody knows if this would fit at the back of a Toyota Camry? Thanks!

    • no way. I highly doubt it.

    • Sedan, nope. Hatchbacks, yes.

    • You can hire a Van on the cheap at Bunnings for 4 hours

    • Tried it in a corolla sedan and it was a no go.

    • Measured my Toyota Corolla Hatch and it didn't fit

  • Question, I am kinda a newbie to OzBargain; has there ever been a deal as popular as this?

  • Tempe shows 1 in stock for anyone brave enough to go to the store at 10am and jostle to get it.

  • I managed to get 1 of the 2 from Logan, but there were a dozen people at the store trying to order it this morning.

The staff mentioned more stock is coming soon. Here are a few tips to help you get one:

Arrive Early: Go to the store right when it opens.
Avoid the Kiosk: Don't use the kiosk machines to order. The Diskad might not appear as an option even if it's in stock.
Talk to Staff: Head straight to the Kitchen section and speak with a staff member in a yellow shirt. They can place the order for you within 2 minutes.
No Delivery Option: Don't spend time asking for delivery—it’s not available.
Pay and Pick Up: Complete your payment and pick up your new dishwasher on the spot.

How did you know there were 2? It's a bummer because I genuinely need a new washer but don't live close enough to go in regularly on a whim.

Although I recently got Bosch washer and dryer and have had more issues in 18 months than in 18 years of my old LG washer …

Sure 5 year warranty is good but claiming it and dealing with repairs is a nightmare.

      • You can call the store to ask about it, generally they would be able to check it for you :)

    • Hi Era, how much? And where are you located?

    • I'll be interested if still available. PM me with more info please

  • So which actual model bosch is this?

    • +1

There is no exact equivalent. Ikea got Bosch to manufacture a custom model that's somewhere in between a Series 6 and Series 8. Probably closer to the Series 8 than 6.

Man, Ikea are flogging these off in the As Is section at Rhodes. Saw 1 unit for $79 in the As Is section at Rhodes whilst shopping there at 6pm, another one inside the staff area for the same $79 but was sold. Both open box, probably didn't fit under the counter top and customer returned them. Both didn't show up on the website in the As Is section so you just have to go and snoop around. Crazy. They are throwing them out on the street at these prices lol.

If anyone is Brisbane still has a spare or it doesn’t fit, hit me up. Can’t justify paying $500 to a Facebook scalper 😅

    • +1

I think I saw the same one and wouldn't pay that either! $500 down from $900?

One on gumtree for $400 went quick.

  • Just grabbed one with a slight packaging defect and small crack on the screen in the as-is section for $79.75

    • Which store?

    • Small crack on the screen and packaging defects? That could have been dropped a flight of stairs. Dunno, even at $79 if it's a deal. I have seen Open Box ones at Rhodes Ikea with no damage for $79. Does As Is items have the same 5 year warranty? If so, you have nothing to worry about I guess.

      • Yep same 5 yr warranty. I'm not sure if the crack is worth the inconvenience of getting all the way out to rhodes for me

  • I just got one in perth, there is 1 left

    • Agh!! I was there yesterday and spoke to a kitchen staff member and there was 0 in stock and none showing up in their four week outlook. Was this returned stock in the As Is section?

    • Interesting! I was there 11am sharp got the order paid and when i got to the collect counter then i got messed around until now to only get a refund as they have no stock. The 1 in stock apparently is some ghost stock as well.

      • I was first in line haha. Went straight to kitchen section and placed the order through staff. Sorry you missed out! I've just been checking the app regularly for restocks and noticed this morning there were 2.

It wasn't in the as is section, was brand new.

        • +1

Lucky you! I was first in line in the service counter in the warehouse section. Thought i will be able to get it this time.

The stock level in Perth has been a joke. Their system never properly reflect what they have or at least that’s what I have been told. I have been muck around going back and forth the store enough to say that they always have some magical mysterious stock issue and aren’t able to sell the very last piece 🤷🏻

  • Has anyone figured out how to attach the plinth to the bottom of the dishwasher? I can't find the mounting brackets the video referred to on Ikea's website.

    • AFAIK you don't. The plinth just runs along the cabinets over the dishwasher.

      • I'm converting my existing freestanding dishwasher space into this (which doesn't have a plinth matching my existing cabinetry), so will need to put a plinth in front of this separately to match the existing cabinetry.

    • I'm not going to bother with the plinth as the door comes down quite a bit lower than my cabinet door.

      • Agreed for the Ikea doors, however I'm getting a shorter door from a cabinet maker to match my existing cabinets.

        • How much for the matching door? And where is your cabinetmaker located? Can't find anyone in Syd who does small jobs
          Thanks

Perth shows in stock as of 5.41pm Perth time Sunday 23rd June.

    • Apperently ghost stock according to others above

  • Somehow the action of simply opening and closing the door over the first week has managed to rub/scrape off the sticker they make you put over the door panel's pre-drilled holes.

    • The door might be misaligned in your dishwasher, or there's issues with your front panel installation.
To resolve, you may want to use the VAGLIG rail which creates some extra gap between the panel and the door.
What I did was I added a gasket (a piece of an old credit card) at the base of those white plastic rectangles that attach to the top half of the front panel. And also on the right side around the top I stuck a furniture felt pad between the door and the panel. This was enough to create a 2mm gap and stop the sticker from being scratched.

    • FWIW the door doesn't touch the sticker on mine. I didn't use the VAGLIG rails or add any spacers. No rubbing so far.

    • Oh I didn't realise the door panel isn't meant to be completely tight/gapless against the dishwasher. I do remember there being a gap on the display models in-store due to the VAGLIG rails so you guys' comments make sense but initially thought it looked better without the gap after installation haha.

      • Oh I didn't realise the door panel isn't meant to be completely tight/gapless against the dishwasher.

It sort of is. If you look at page 24 in the assembly manual (step 17), it shows that you can attach the panel directly into the dishwasher door without the rails. There will be a tiny gap naturally from the mounts that you screw in to the door panel .

        • There will be a tiny gap naturally from the mounts that you screw in to the door panel

Initially what I assumed too but was surprised after slotting it in that it was completely flush against the dishwasher panel. Didn't think it'd be an issue since the sliding motion was pretty smooth and there weren't any scraping noises or marks etc until the sticker got rubbed off.

          • @vawiyoci: I wonder if the screws on the sides of the door (step 19) that are meant to let you adjust the height of the panel once installed will also let you move the panel outwards a little.

Canberra shows 3 in stock as of 5.07pm 24th June. But we all know the stock update is laggy so call before making the 600km return trip from Sydney :-)

  • Any recommendations for cabinet makers in Syd who will make a single matching door? Can't find anyone in Syd who does small jobs
    Thanks

    • Try Airtasker

  • So I'm late to the party, what are the chances i can still fetch one at this price?
    Are stores accepting pre-orders

    • Depends very much where you are located, how quickly you can get to a store, and how many others are doing the same. They are making short appearances at some of the stores from time to time but less frequently now. They are also appearing on gumtree / FB marketplace for $4-500 (a less effort option), which is probably not unreasonable given the item was originally $1599 before this clearance run. Make very sure to get a genuine / clear copy of the receipt though, to enable any warranty claim.

  • Yesterday Canberra store showed 3 in stock. Today (Tues) at 5.46pm, my Ikea App is showing 2 in stock. Call up and see if App stock number is accurate before driving to the store.

Anyone know how to turn off or quieten the loud beeping when it finishes a cycle? We like to run it in the evening and the loud beeping in the middle of the night is a bit annoying. We haven't put a door panel on it yet so I'm hoping that dampens the sound a bit once I do it.

    • +1

See "Tone volume" on page 39 of the user manual.

    • +1

I haven't touched the setting on mine and the beep is very quiet. Didn't find it annoying at all.

      • Yep. Have disabled the sounds. Much better

  • For those who have it and are using it, have you done anything to try and get rid of the plastic smell from the dishwasher? I presume it will get better the more I use it, but the smell it leaves on the washed items is a bit off putting.

    • Strange, I don't have any plastic smell at all.

    • no plastic smell for me even following first wash.

Maybe it is your tablet? i find the fairy tablets gives off the worst after smell.

      • Nah, it's the same Aldi tablets we've always used.
Might be that I'm more sensitive than others.

  • Man, I feel like putting on the door will be daunting. I looked up the instructions, oh man, my OCD is kicking in hard to get it perfect. I have the Varsta Stainless Steel. https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/varsta-front-for-dishwasher-sta… , It didn't come with the giant paper sheet like some of the videos on Youtube shows that helps with drilling and marking holes. I have to use the blue thin plastic thing that came with the dishwasher to mark up holes to drill. Anyone managed to use the blue plastic hole marker and it went smoothly?

    • +1

Yup I used the plastic strip, it worked perfectly. It's designed pretty well so you can get accurate marks easily.

Just tape down the strip before marking and use an awl or centre punch or similar to mark the spot exactly.

This video shows the whole process… in Russian. You don't really need to listen though, watching is enough.

      • Thx mate.

      • +1

Yeah the plastic strip part was fine as long as you don't rush, do your due diligence and double check all your measurements and every thing's level for all the middle and section parts on the door panel itself from the step prior.
Also that giant sheet only comes with the original Bosch models so guess they decided they had to do something different, would be funny if it was just to save 10c lol.

    • +1

Marking the door wasn't that bad, but marking the holes for the handle was a lot harder. Mine unfortunately is ever so slightly not level, which is annoying.

  • No more stock as it's a discontinued item

  • +1

Just a tip for everyone tackling installing the front door panel and stuffed up the vertical measurement (Measurement A) to sit flush with the adjacent kitchen cabinet doors. The 2 bottom side screws (once you remove the side door panel strips with blue tape) is for adjusting the door up and down if you cock up the measurements like i did. It was a life saver as I measured from the top of the adjacent cabinet doors but you are supposed to measure from the bottom of the kitchen countertop as it's engineered to drop the door 5mm to align with your cabinet doors. So always measure from the bottom of the countertop to get 'Measurement A'. If it's not perfectly aligned, use this tip to realign the door. You may have to use an alignment ruler with a water bubble to get the door perfectly straight again. I lifted the front panel 5 mm up after my cock up and it's all sweet now.

  • For those in Perth, where did you source your cabinet door from? And how much did it cost? Mine is going into a new build so I’ll need a door to match my cabinets.

  • 'Time to buy the upgrade version which looks exactly the same as the DISKAD: https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/kallboda-integrated-dishwasher-…

    • Seems to now have a Machine Care function?

  • What did everyone do for the plinth? Seems like the $50 ikea is 220cm so I will need to cut this to 60cm?

  • My dishwasher cavity is a few cm too wide for the side mounts and I can't mount the top due to my stone bench. Anyone else comes up with a solution for this?

    • +1

Stick some wooden planks on the side(s) to close the gap, that's what I did.

      • Thanks, will do this!

    • I didnt attach the side mounts, since I'd needed to take out the platic bits at the top - for additional clearance.

Then when it comes to the top mount, the top mount - that piece of platic exists to protect the bench from moisture. But since you have a stone bench, you don't need to attach the top - the manual also illustrates this too.

i.e. mine has been slid in, without attaching to anything and it's fine - there's not really all that much vibrations occuring anyhow.

      • +2

Beware if you don't attach it to anything, it will tip forward when you have some stuff loaded and you slide out all the trays for example. I forgot the side mount and didn't attach to the top as I have quartz bench top and it tipped forward. I only then realised I unintentionally missed the step for side mounting.

        • Ah, possibly, though I don't have really enough clearance - hieght wise - for it really to move. At most, I have 1-2mm clearance.

        • Dam why is this integrated stuff designed like this? The freestanding ones seem so simple now..
