DISKAD (Rebranded Bosch Series 6/8) Integrated Dishwasher $319 ($287 IKEA Family Price) + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ IKEA In-store Only

4110

Not sure if this is price error, but regular price wasn't $319 from vague memory. Google search shows as $1599.

Manufacturer number for this product is 23320, which is made by Bosch as per Ikea Belgium website.

Not sure about specific model, but Bosch only makes fully integrated dishwasher for series 6 and 8, which cost $1000 and up.

Deactivated user mentioned it's similar to Series 8 SMV88TX02A

tonester mentioned "IKEA integrated PROFFSIG and DISKAD are rebranded Series 6 and 8 respectively"

          • @legelas: Had to get off my arse and go to the Ikea store to see if it was in stock at 10am to get it. Even though the stock checker said 0 in stock, they had 5 available in store when I rocked up. So don't always go by the online stock checker.

    • Well done mate. Same failed first time at Marsden Park, then woke up 7.20 today and checked my favourites (I had hearted it before it disappeared) and it showed in stock @ Tempe. Couldn't have processed the order as fast enough. Just got back with it in tow. Mines 12 years and leaks on the sides sometimes.
Good luck all, hope you're able to snag one.

Thank goodness, now maybe you'll stop all ya moaaaaning….

      • Holy shit I thought I was the only one that noticed

    • +1

Mate… you are like a broken record

  • Was lucky enough to get one but the dishwasher is 1.65cm too tall (I have an 850mm cavity height and the dishwasher is 865mm based on the spec sheet). Does anyone have any ideas on how I could get it to fit without cutting the floor or benchtop which overhangs to 850mm? Does anyone have a photo of what the top of the dishwasher looks like to see if it's doable in an 850mm space as I don't want to unpack mine if it won't be suitable for my kitchen.

    • Installed mine a few days ago but didn't take a photo of the top. But there would be no way you can get it in without removing floor boards. The dishwasher sides are metal and goes up to 865mm

    • @lerik Based on the diagram its 865mm as others have said. Pretty sure I read in the thread someone else had a similar question.

If you are in Melbourne and want to get rid it easily and not go through the horrors of fb/gumtree, please feel to DM me… I am happy to buy as I really need replace my old dishwasher :/

    • I think someone in this thread above had the same issue so they had to remove the floor boards to get it to fit.

      • Same issue for me too. My order was ready for pickup and cancelled it because 850mm max I can go.

      What a dog

      • They are selling it all within 24hrs. I have seen at least 20 now listed and sold on Facebook and Gumtree. So scalpers are minting it.

        • oh wow

    • It’s the same person who listed it for over 1k a few days ago that someone else on ozbargain posted about earlier. Must not have had too many hits if the new price is under 1k now.

Thanks OP - ordered one from the Tempe store via live chat at 7am yesterday morning and picked it up last night.

If you saved (‘hearted’) the Diskad in the IKEA app you can see stock levels. One in stock at Tempe right now according to the app, but it could be gone.

Says on the app (as at ~10:30am on 15/06):

Adelaide - est. back in stock 5 July
Canberra - est. back in stock 19 June
Logan - est. back in stock 20 June
Marsden Park - est. back in stock 5 July
North Lakes - est. back in stock 29 June
Perth - est. back in stock 17 June
Richmond - est. back in stock 25 June
Rhodes - est. back in stock 20 June
Springvale - ‘store - displayed in store’
    Tempe - 1 in stock

    Good luck!

    • Thanks for this info! I live 1.30hrs from my local ikea but would go if i knew they had some.

      • No worries @Juice08 - I’d recommend doing what I did and buying it through chat (or over the phone) then making the trip when you know you’ve got it and can click and collect it.

        Item number is 004.756.25

IKEA phone / chat order link

        • Only problem is i dont have the app and havent "hearted" it 😥 By the time Logan gets any all the Brisbane broadens would've got them.

          • +1

@Juice08: You can hit up live chat now and again and ask if it’s in stock. I’d try live chat at 7am in and around the 20th.

          • +1

@Juice08: 45 in stock in Logan. You can buy it through the live chat option for c&c so you know you’ve def got one.

            • @Symbiotic: Wow what the?! Thanks!!

            • +1

@Symbiotic: I was out and they are all sold out now. Wow! I just wanted to watch a video to make sure i could install it.

    • According to the app: 12 in stock at Rhodes as at 1:45pm 15/06

  • Anyone in Melbourne have any luck with finding a cabinet maker who does Laminex panels? All the ones I've talked to are either too busy or don't do such small jobs.

  • To those who installed it already, has anyone installed it in a space where there's only quartz stone kitchen counter on top so you can't nail the top mounting bracket on to it? What was your solution please?

    • Just installed it so the manual is fresh in my mind. Pic in the manual shows if your countertop isn’t wooden then bin the top mounting bracket.

      • Manual is pretty crap I must say, as it's all pictures and no description at all..
I will give it a go without it. Thanks.

        • Manual says you only need to affix the top bracket thing if you have a timber benchtop. Any other material you can skip it judging by the crossed out tree symbol and picture of the bracket getting binned. Also backed up in the animated installation video someone linked.

    • Just use the side mounts as per instructions

      • Far out. Ran into another issue. The water hose doesn't fit through the existing hole because of the flow regulator thing attached.

        • +1

          Make a bigger hole

        • It's Bosch's proprietary 'aquastop' device to stop leaks from flooding everything. Also found on their washing machines. We had to cut a 7.5cm hole to get it through or you could've lengthened your existing hole with another smaller one to fit the device through sideways.

          • @johnjones8: Yeah I had to make an ugly cut with multi tool to fit it through the hole.
Couldn't finish the door as I didn't have drill bit to drill through the stainless steel on the varsta front door panel.

  • Hi folk, I have a spare one as my parents just bought a new series 6 without telling me lol. In Brisbane if any one is interested :)

    • I want pls

    • +1

Do you want my username? It would suit you better.

  • +2

In case someone in Brisbane doesn't care about getting a brand-new sealed one: there was a single open-packaged one inside the 2nd hand as-is stock area at the Logan ikea for $250 when we stopped by this arvo to pick up the door panel. Cord was inside the original packet so maybe someone couldn't make it fit under their kitchen bench?
Also an otherwise-pristine white 60x80cm Veddinge door panel there as well but unfortunately with a long narrow chip near the top(bottom?) edge on the front.

    • Just picked this one up, minor scratches along the outside and along the sides. Looks like it didn't fit on the width - but they already started the installation process on the front of the dishwasher.

We were told they were all out of the new versions, and it was uncertain when the next shipment would be in, but there might be one in the 2nd hand section - voilà, there it was.

Ultimately I'd rather pay $250 for one with some scuffs and dings, than miss out and have no dishwasher at all.

      • I'm surprised it was there for so long!

  • +1

More Sydney Scalpers at it, between $450-$500, at least Sydney scalpers are not as bad as that Brisbane guy listing his for $950 lol.

    • People are not willing to pay a high price so it force scalpers to drop the price. 99% people don’t know this dishwasher is Bosch unless they read this post

      • 99% of Australia knows about this deal by now. 🤣

  • By the way, just installed the dishwasher.

Found out the dishwasher has no clock (time )setting.

You only can delay it. But can't set it to start at a certain time.

What a top of the range dishwasher Bosch is making it.

    • Think of it as build quality over tech and features. Eg. Speed Queen washing machines. A Speed Queen washing machine can cost $3500 - $9,000 and you will get 2 analogue knobs and often no screen / no fancy wash programs or features. Very minimal electronics to make it last for decades. Just 2 knobs to start wash cycle, end wash cycle.

      • +2

First (and for days..) it was an over priced 2018 model with no transferable warranty, now it's a no fills Speed Queen! 🤫

        Tis neither…

        • +1

At $1599, it was an overpriced 6 year old dishwasher released in 2018. At $319, it's a high quality Bosch.

    • What a top of the range dishwasher Bosch is making it.

This is not Bosch's top of the range dishwasher, it's a hybrid of the Series 6 and 8 which Ikea commissioned.

This is their top of the range dishwasher.

The control panel has a screen on it where you set the time. Rather than set the start time you set the end time.

It also has WiFi so you can control it remotely or by saying OK Google start the dishwasher.

There is also a Home Assistant integration so you could theoretically set it up to automatically run when you get free electricity or your solar power generation is at its peak, or by pressing a physical remote control button.

There’s 45 in stock in Logan showing up in the app right now if anyone needs one in Brisbane.

    • How are you able to view it in the app? I can't see it unfortunately :(

      • I have it saved onto a wish list from when it was available.

        • Yeah for some reason they decided not to added it back onto the website despite stock still coming in?

    • Thanks, just ordered one for pick up tomorrow

    • Just bought mine from logan and there is a sweet old man working the order desk (just past the self serve checkouts), management has warned him that he'll be getting lots of requests for these. Good luck everyone.

  • Is salt required? Getting conflicting information.

  • I was added to a waitlist last week and the rep emailed me today letting me know I could come in and grab it. Thanks everyone!

  • Hi All ,

The links is gone , not sure how his deal can still be accessed via app backend.

I was checking the perth stock on the chat they were not helping , just said keep checking the web none in store .
Also the article disappeared from site .

I really need a dishwasher and this price is a steal.

Pop the IKEA app on your phone / tablet (have personally tested with both an IPhone and an iPad), and try this link
      https://ingka.page.link/o87vjDB9sYuzGMon9

It should open the IKEA app to the Dishwasher page so you can see the online stock info.

      • Thanks Mate ,

Much appreciated for taking the time to share the link.

I tried it on iphone shows dishwasher other brand stock , but not DISKAD , have to wait until link appears back on site .

Update # Tried again and its showing now with no stock
Will keep trying until comes available.

        You’re Legend mate .

  • Can anyone share photos of theirs installed? Also anyone remember the depth of the unit?

    • 55cm depth

    • Assembled size

      Width 59.8 cm
      Depth 55.0 cm
      Height 86.5 cm
      Max. installation height 92.5 cm
      Min. installation height 86.5 cm
      Cord length 175.0 cm
      Weight 48.00 kg

    • Dimensions and clearances are in the installation guide

      • Do you need the special kit if your cavity is 610cm wide for example?

        • You may need to fill that extra width with some wooden plank.
However, if it's only 610 mm, you may be fine. The dishwasher has white rubber "wings" along the sides, about 5mm each, that may cover it. Though the door gaps will be pretty wide :-)

        • what special kit ?

          • @Randomderp: Page 13 of the manual shows a couple of brackets if you have between 608 and 620 gap.

  • Height sizing is pretty firm.

My space was 860mm with the floorboards. Had to pull the floorboards and also unclipped the panel sides from the dishwasher, including the screw in the front to hold them, (bare sides looks like the top now) and removed the plastic brackets on the corners and got it in there just.

    • I might need to do this for my parents place as we are a few mm short, so the sides can come off pretty easy? do you have any photos what it looks like without the sides??

      • Remove screw at front with door open, about 3/4 of way down, torx T20 I believe.

They basically pop open and come off downward with a small pry from the back

Remove the corner plastic pieces at the back by straightening the metal corner folded inside, and hammering off.

The grey plastic corner bits at the front just lever off, not needed even when running the front fascia.

No photos but it looks a bit bare, not an issue if you can't see it. Nothing exposed or anything.

Once front is on, all good

        • Thanks, would the white flexible gasket like "wing" remain after removing the side panels? How many mm did u save by removing the sides you think?

          • @Section2: Side wings come off but top stays on
Only about half a cm maybe? Enough to get to to squeeze in for me

            • @Zoner1: awesome, thanks for sharing your knowledge

              • @Section2: Was able to refit wings without side panels.

Used the screw which initially held the side panels on and screwed them back on (through the rubber flap that covers the hole) and tucked the top under the top wing as it originally was.

                • @Zoner1: Was able to take side panels off and squeeze it in with 1mm gap remaining

  • People buying the default door trims from Ikea (Metod) in white / other colours or getting a cabinet maker to build them one?

    • Used the VOXTORP door with VAGLIG kit from IKEA

      • Does the VAGLIG add a gap between the door and the dishwasher door?

        • Maybe 2mm or so from the width of the metal bracket inbetween, I don't notice it

Sounds like you can get away without needing it though

      • +1

Dont need a VAGLIG kit if you are using just one VOXTORP panel as the dishwasher already come with mounts.

I got a grey VOXTORP panel (60 x 80) for my own washer and it was pretty easy to install with the supplied mounts as there was a template

  • are you supposed to be be able to see/use the top controls like in this image? https://imgur.com/a/zzppCP4
trouble with this is i can't secure the unit to the cupboards/draws with it out this far?

    • My understanding ~ yes need to see them but, not while door is closed. Aim to get your front panel of the door flush with the remainder of your cabinets. You operate the buttons whilst door is open. It will project basic status info onto the floor.

    • You are suppose to have the whole unit in the cavity as it is an integrated unit.

You can access the control with the unit opened at an angle. In fact, the buttons dont work when the door is closed like what you have in your picture.

    • No you should not be able to see them, when closed they should be under your bench.

  • LOGAN Ikea Store shows stock as of 17th June 5.22pm. Call them up to see how many is left.

    • I chatted with them yesterday and she said there's no stock and they weren't expecting any 🤷🏻‍♂️

      • Maybe they got restocked this morning. Still shows in stock at Logan.

        • How do you check stock of them? Mine's still under prepared and not dispatched since.

        • Strange, I had a look yesterday just before 6pm and Logan was showing out of stock. It's still showing as OOS at Logan now. Could your app be displaying a cached value?

  • +1

used it for the first time today and very happy with it.
runs very quiet and heaps of space inside.

    • Nice! Mine arrived today. Kitchen Reno starting in a month

  • +1

Canberra store shows stock in my App as of 18 June 9.47am. Perhaps worth it for Sydney folks to make the trip if they can secure 1 over the phone.

    • Update: Canberra store 11.35am sold out.

  • Out of technical curiosity, what is the purpose of the 2 plugs inserted on the sides?

Also what is the function of the 2x screws below the door? Is it to adjust the stiffness/angle of leaving the door ajar etc?

    • I think the 2 plugs are where you put the screw in from inside the dishwasher to secure it to the side of the cabinets.
Mine was tipping forward when all trays were pulled out until I did this.

I don't think the second step you asked about is relevant to this particular model. It's specific only for the PROFFSIG model.

      • The sidewall screw positions seem a lot higher though?

Mine was tipping forward when all trays were pulled out until I did this.

Didn't realise it would be this unbalanced compared to a freestanding model lol.

It's specific only for the PROFFSIG model.

Ah my mistake just double checked and proffsig is the one with the auto opening doors.

        • I'm going off my memory here but I didn't think the screw holes were that high up?

It was slightly below where the cutler tray is located. I could still screw it in without taking the tray out but obviously easier with it out.
