In my limited experience and research, most people recommend we stay away from the A boards.
People usually complain about the VRM, not the chipset. This board has a weak VRM but it shouldn't have any issue with this CPU.

Maybe they'll keep the prices right where they are and put higher prices on the new products. Forcing you to buy the newer stuff.

If you look at the patterns from previous gens, they're likely to release the new gen only slightly higher than the current price point of their equivalent CPUs, but not drop the current gen for another 6 months at least.
This then makes the newer gen seem like great value at launch despite being higher in price, and increase sales. As sales drop off the older gen, prices will fall to clear out old stock - just note there will likely be a delay.
