I just got this CL30 RAM for my build. I hope it works with B650m MSI gaming plus motherboard.

Contemplating an upgrade to AM5 since I'm finding the 5700X3D lacking in cores for my workloads, is Zen 5 (or Arrow Lake?) as sensitive to memory performance as Zen 2 was? Haven't played around with memory tuning since hunting for Samsung B-die on the 3900X.
It was more so at launch but since then, memory stability has improved. That said, having a good quality DDR5 6000 CL30 kit is definitely worthwhile.
I'm keeping my 5800X3D for gaming, but I have another AM4 build for productivity - just swapped out a 5600 for 5900XT. DDR4 ECC ram is expensive, but certainly cheaper than DDR5. Not sure what workloads you're talking about, but probably better to have a whole separate system away from your gaming rig. My two builds will certainly last me til AM6 to say the least.
Great call - cheers.
Is this the best deal on OzB so far or should I wait? I'm contemplating on upgrading ram from 16gb and in no hurry.
It had been $131, but this $155.5 is good enough. Hynix had announced +10% price change to RAM manufacturers several days ago.
I mean other rams too not just lexar
@PeeDee: The brand doesn't matter. Pay more attention on the chips on the RAM. I did not mean Lexar but it just coincidentally was the lowest priced Hynix A-Die chip RAM
@Meteor Anarcom: How can you tell? Is it part of the specs? Can anyone suggest what to get for a 128GB build?
Pricing for a 2x32GB range is too wide and can't really tell the difference.
@jelicano: same boat, what should I look for for a 64gb build? Would two sets of these be non-preferable to a 2x32gb set? I wouldn't need any future upgradability.
@jelicano: Chips in use is the most important spec in RAM. However, most of those 'main stream' brands like Corsair, GSkill, Kingston choose to not state it clearly on the detail page, you'll need to find reviews of specific model only to find it out. Most Chinese brands, like Lexar, state the chips in use in Chinese market.
To build a 128GB RAM system. Get an MSI 800 series board such as B850/X870(E) Tomahawk/Edge Ti, X870E Carbon/Godlike and buy two pairs of 2x32GB.
Or actually there are 64GB single module RAM. It is sold on Amazon DE and UK via AU. Kingston ValueRAM DDR5 CUDIMM. Get 2 of 64GB module
Cool. I'll get the Amazon one. Only thing is will centre com take returns as I already bought it. Hopefully not shipped
Hi I bought these PNY ones a while ago as I was just looking for CL30 at 6000mhz. I don’t fully understand the die situation. Should they still be decent enough or are your Amazon ones in a different league entirely? Thanks
Not much difference, but definitely worths at only extra $6.5 and even cheaper if stacking with gift card.
If you're using AM5 CPUs, there will not be a noticable gap between them.
I don't recommend you buy another one if you're already using this.
Thanks for your response! Yep this is a part of my entire upgrade to AM5. Will be paired with a 7800x3d
Aliexpress deal last week I got this for under 100 when using the huge cashback offers for their birthday
They even went under 100 without cashback last week but no deal on price match was offered
Crucial Pro DDR5 RAM 2x16GB 6000MHz, 6400MHz Overclocking Desktop Gaming Memory, Intel XMP 3.0

and yes Someone is going to tell me the timings are slow but I just need the size and ddr5 ness for a server.
Micron is worse, but fair enough for that price
yeah I am a brand hog when it comes to PC I stick to G.skill trident Z. not sure about PNY though are they worth it?
also is this Intel ram or AMD ram.
So from what I gathered this is made for Intel as it has xmp but will work with AMD nonetheless.
ASRock is telling me that the reason EXPO DDR5-6000 RAM only works at 5200 on the ASRock AM5 motherboard I just bought is that the CPU doesn't support EXPO, so they don't enable it in the BIOS. So there's nothing for them to "fix". Only thing wrong with the story is that I've been running that CPU and that RAM at 6000 thanks to EXPO on an ASUS motherboard for the past 6 months.
That's messed up by ASRock. Is it 7 or 9 gen amd cpu?

Better choice here(amazon.com.au). Hynix A-Die with EXPO for $155.
This PNY ones should be M-Die as its profile is 6000MT CL30-38 instead of CL30-36
