  • Can I put 4x of these on AM5 motherboard?

    • +1

It depends on your motherboard. Only MSI did some optimization specifically on 4x RAMs on their mid to top-ranged mobo. Other mobo might even cannot POST or run at 3600MT when using 4 of them

      • Have you got a source to find out if it would work on the msi project zero boards?

        • +1

I don't think it will work. Only 6-layer PCB

          • @Meteor Anarcom: It is a 6 layer but ill try and dig into it

            • @DoesntEvenMatter: Good luck. I guess it is possible to get 6000C34 on single-sided Hynix A-Die

              • +1

@Meteor Anarcom: Optimized the memory compatibility of single rank (1R) under 2DPC configuration.
                - Optimized the memory compatibility of dual rank (2R) under 1DPC configuration. Was in a bios update. Not sure what it means though

    • Just buy 2x32?

    • I tried recently - it was a mess. Max I could get was 4800mhz. Stick to 2 modules for now

  • Back up to 195 for me

    • Still $155.5 from my view. Make sure the seller is Amazon AU not UK or Germany

Ah, had to go through private, but looks like this is one of the things that I 'live too far away type deals'

'Sorry, Lexar ARES RGB DDR5 RAM 32GB Kit (2x16GB) 6000MHz, CL30-36-36-68 DRAM 288-Pin UDIMM Desktop Memory, PC Gaming Memory Supports XMP 3.0/AMD Expo, 1.35V (LD5BU016G-R6000GDLA) can't be shipped to the address you selected. Please remove the item or select another address.

Usually only applies to bigger items, but apparently living 20km from the main distro centre in Perth it too big to lug the ram out to my house.

        Lucky my mum lives closer!

        • Same here, must be heavy ram

        • Lol. I didn't notice living in metro area is a privilege. It might be something wrong in their system.
          :)

@Meteor Anarcom: I had my pepsi subscribe and save cancelled after 5 years because of this, I am exactly 42km from the CBD and definitely in the Perth metro.

Thanks anyway, I have had a 9800x3d sitting for a few months and really lost motivation by the lack of general deals - now I am halfway to a new system so may as well finish!

  • I run this on a B650 w/9800X3D using buildzoid's subtimings, fast kit!

    • What AIDA64 scores are you getting? I'm tempted to jump on this as my I can't seem to get my crappy Micron D die below 63ns.
