Some of us, yes. I often hit 99% utilisation, ugly. should have got 128!
yes
You might not, I certainly do!
Audio/Video editing and graphic rendering can make you use all of it. 128gb for me and although it doesn't happen a lot. Rendering does get up to the maximum, with lots of characters, props and detailed environments on the screen.
Shows $419.60 for me, even lower price
Yeah, Amazon told me to return my old order and re order at the new price…
It's a listing bug. The item code is CMH96GX5M2B6000C30 which will be the 2 x 24GB.
So what does 96G in the code mean?
It really doesn't matter. When you add the item to your cart it shows up as a 48GB kit (2 x 24GB) CMH48GX5M2B6000C30
I ordered it and it was the 96gb, the item code is for the 96gb as well
Well dang I need to read better. Originally in my post I did quote the 96GB code in it but now only shows the 48GB code.
Out of curiosity, what do people use these for? Are you creating a virtual hard drive on this for super-fast access? Or some crypto mining? Video editing?
8 chrome tabs…
haha but actually for me personally i have multiple games open as well as streams/youtube videos that im halfway through watching. a video stream might use like 2GB, the 5 unfinished videos on youtube i have use like 500MB ea, then i have like up to 50 chrome tabs each using between 50MB and 300MB, one game i keep open uses like 5GB, then I could be playing 1 or 2 other games as well each using 1GB to 20GB each. plus OS and other apps
Do we really need 96GB ram
