yep. paid $6 in store last Thursday
What's the cheapest way to save your phone number while travelling for 12 months? Not planning on using it while overseas
amaysim as you go eSIM
Agreed! I use this plan to just receive calls and messages from a number. Cheapest way to keep a mobile number.
So,…….how much would the Amaysim esim be for a year then ?
@ozhunter68: $10 if you pay full charge.
Or $4 if you got if during discount.
Do you use it overseas? Is everything fine with intl roaming on this plan?
Does it work for receiving SMS overseas?
aldi $5 payg 365 sim.
any others that use Optus.
Aldi expires 60 days now unless you top up another $15
I bought some of the $39 ones yesterday for $12 each. 50GB + 50GB bonus data.
Can you park the number for 1 year through this SIM?
no, 1 month credit and 60 days grace period, you get almost 90 days (I doubt you gonna be brave enough to transfer away on the last day)
You would need to charge at least $10 to extend the expiry for another year.
Could still use the data and make calls during grace period?
no, only receiving calls.
boost is better I'm this instance, if I remember correctly they have half a year grace period.
Hows the reception like??
they have nothing to do with reception.
Telstra, optus or Vodafone are the three networks in Australia.
the other factor is your phone.
How do you all do sim slutting now? Used to be boost <> lebara, now boost has dried up. Looking for something to go in between lebara now.
Voda
amaysim and vodafone regularly go on sale at colesworth
Amaysim $10 + $7 Cashback is another option.
Yes I got this the other day 🙂
Same boat currently going between Lebara and Amaysim
Voda is 5g and now has unlimited data, although at a speed limited 1.5mb/s once you've used your allocation. I think Lebaba and Amysim are only 4g and once you're finished your data you're stuffed.
Currently with Amaysim has 5G but is capped to 100 mbps and Lebara last time I was with them I had 5G as well but it wasn't advertised as being 5G and it's not capped https://www.speedtest.net/result/i/6076540556.png
When you say boost dried up does it mean there is a limited amount of times you can keep buying new sim card before your ID is blocked from purchasing new sim card from them? I often switch to buying new sim card with 28 days expiry on sale to get the best discount
They just don’t do the cashback like they used to anymore or at least not as frequently https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/840121
There's a $20 catch Sim that lasts 90 days. Only about 20gb of data all up though.
@2superblue @Joshminey
Thanks
Thanks , ordered!
I would not recommend this provider to anyone in the Adelaide area as the signal is terrible.
The second you leave a major town, the signal drops to 1 bar, if you're lucky. What network is this on?
Vodafone 4G
Anyone know if this deal is still valid at Coles?
Yes, both coles & Woolies, expires next Tuesday.
It is $6 now as shown in the Coles App.
