Any Boost sim deal with profitz? InB4 something went wrong comments.

    • +2

It hasn't worked for ages, nearly two months, yet today it went through. I'm amazed. I was just about to sign up with another provider.

I think I'll stick with two simultaneous services as three seemed to trigger the something went wrong message. In other words….I have no idea why that message appears.

    • Report it to boost chat, save the transcript and then report it to shopback with the transcript

No profit Not a deal 😬

Profit still = 60GB 28-Day SIM Card for free!

  • +2

still showing as $45 for the 60gb for me

      Enter code BOOST17

      • +2

        Won't that invalidate cashback?

      • +2

On the Boost Mobile page on the Shopback website it states:

"This Cashback deal is not valid together with:

Vouchers or Promo codes not featured on our platform"

This code is not shown on the Shopback page so they might not pay the cashback.

        • Hence why I made this statement

so I’m sure it’s eligible on ShopBack too but YMMV

Happy for the rep to confirm but why would ShopBack want to miss out on the commission too if their competitors are already advertising? Doesn’t make sense from a business perspective not to allow the code not be approved

          • +3

@BargainsGrabber: I messaged the rep and he said - "you will not be eligible for Cashback as the code is not advertised on ShopBack"

So everyone who uses the code BOOST17 will not get the $17 cashback.

@Rodo: Thanks, deleted my previous comment about YMMV. A bit odd from ShopBack still…

              • @BargainsGrabber: Yep agreed. It is a bit odd and I am surprised that they don't allow use of the code.

        • +1

Yeah, not willing to try it because of this clause.

@nsta8487: I bought last night and can see this has tracked in Shopback. If that helps.

            • @caperite: unfortunately tracked means quite little…can still be rejected a few months later when it is time to payout and the reason given then is because unauthorised coupon code was used.

  • If porting in do you need to be with Boost for the full 28 days to get the cashback or can you leave sooner?

    • +2

It just needs to be activated. You don’t have to stay or even use it :-)

  • My more cba 3 months deal ends this month, should I churn to boost?
I had boost when I was a teenager so many many MANY years ago

    • They are really same thing, using Telstra network.

      • My data slows to a crawl around midday (can't open an email). But is fine late at night. Anyone have a solution (different APN to try perhaps?)

Telstra support say the tower is congested and nothing they can do. I thought an alternate APN would help

I don't know about Shopback and Boost Mobile, but I got burnt at this deal (Shopback and AmaySim). When ordered the cashback was displayed, but I didnt get the tracking before next day and I ended up with no cashback. I had to pay $18.

Mine initally tracked at $10 but then changed to $28.

      Welcome to ShopBack scam world

    • My lyca/shopback is still calculating..

    no profit, no deal :p

  • Just went the Shopback app on my phone and Boost is advertising broadband - coming soon. Made me laugh when they MORE SPEED^ and MORE RELIABLE* with a disclaimer at the end saying it might not be the case as everyone's circumstance is different.

cashrewards need to up their game

    • They've been awfully quiet on boost deals lately……

  • When does it expire? I need to use it in July, is it possible to buy it now?

    • +1

The SIM card itself usually has an expiry date more than a year from now. Most of the ones I have a date 18 months away from the date they were delivered.

However, buying now and not activating within 30 days puts the cashback at risk with no recourse.

Everyone please be aware that the $17 cashback will not be given if the BOOST17 promo code is used when purchasing this deal. I have confirmed this with the Shopback rep.
