Would Rather wait for 780M IGPU prices to come down a little

Obligatory Warning! These comes with malware on it. You're better off getting a fresh install of Windows. No, antivirus software such as MalwareBytes or Avast will not be enough.

    • Where's that info from?

      • -2

It's a given for these things, LTT on youtube has a good video on it.

        • So pure speculation then, got it

I bought this a couple days ago and am in the process of returning it.

When you check the system specs through the BIOS, windows system settings or CPU-z program the CPU is actually a Ryzen 7 5700u even though it's clearly stated on Amazon as being a 5800u CPU which further ruins the trust in this company.

That's atrocious. Left them a one-star amazon review?

      • +1

Yes I did, it takes a few days to go through and needs to be checked by amazon. So that one star review will hopefully show up.

    • They had their fingers crossed.

I wasn't able to submit my review:

We couldn't post your review because it focuses on one or more of these topics:

        Sellers
        Delivery
        Packaging
        Pricing
        Availability

I merely stated it is supplied with the wrong CPU.
I don't know why Amazon would support this practice. Makes me quite upset.

        • +2

This is insane and I never know this Amazon practice. Does it mean Amazon's review is not trustworthy at all?!

  • It's listed as 5700U now and with $200 coupon is $40 cheaper than OP.

  • The Radeon RX Vega 8 doesn't perform well enough for my needs. My Quell just arrived today and I'm looking for a mini-PC with a graphics card that performs at least as well as a Geforce MX450.
