Why is that? I have used the Windscribe Pro VPN for a month that I got for free. I found it really good VPN with quite a good range of locations.
I'm sure it functions well. This is more a comment on the country's regulatory stance on privacy and piracy, as well as being a 5 eyes member.

I got this back in 2017, Lifetime Pro, not the fastest but certainly can't complain about that considering a one off payment, think it may of been 50Aud.

These commercial VPN aren't really any good for privacy. you're funnelling all your traffic via some unknown network.
Mainly for Geo-blocked content. Switch to US Netflix because their library collection is bigger. ALSo other contents IBBC player for englosh content. HBO, Showtime, CW you can get free watching content.
It's like the blinds on your house windows. Nothing necessarily to hide but you have better privacy and feel better. Also, if you have something to hide, e.g. online transactions, I think it's better to be private than otherwise.

Anyone know how to use a VPN to watch Kayo from overseas? Is it something in the settings?
Kayo keeps detecting that I am on a VPN.
I believe I could setup my own VPN server from home, but if I can do it with an off the shelf product would be easier and less faffing about.
Kayo and others routinely look for and block IPs for this reason. you'll end up chopping and changing providers. It's actually easier for you just to setup a home VPN. Do it once, then it's set and forget.
A dedicated IP might help too, but you’ll pay per a month for that.
